From their website...

At least 60 days must have passed since the device was activated on a Cox Mobile line and detected by the Cox Mobile network, through cellular activity / data usage. For example, if a purchased device begins using cellular data on January 1st, then it would be eligible for unlock on March 1st.

deal itself is not bad. but require cox Internet service is kinda rediculous. most people don't have cox Internet. also i checked their Internet planes it is like double for 500 Mbps compare to my Frontier fios and 50% more expensive than my spectrum before.

Another thing to note here is that "If line is canceled, voluntarily or involuntarily, or financed device is removed from Cox Mobile line, credits stop and customer is responsible for full monthly payments for remainder of Device Agreement."

It means, even if the device is unlocked in 60 days, one must keep the device active with COX for 24 months to get the entire $830 credit.

Here is the full blurb from Cox website:
◊Cox post-paid internet, enrollment in paperless billing and Cox Easy Pay required. Offer ends September 26, 2024. Well-qualified customers only. Requires activation and purchase on a new Cox Mobile line of any iPhone 16 model on a 0% APR 24-month Citizen's Pay Line of Credit Agreement ("Device Agreement"). Credit totaling $830 of the cost of the device purchased applied monthly to your account over 24 months so long as Device Agreement is in effect. Final credit sent via check approximately 30 days after Device Agreement ends. Bill credits start within 3 months. If line is canceled, voluntarily or involuntarily, or financed device is removed from Cox Mobile line, credits stop and customer is responsible for full monthly payments for remainder of Device Agreement. Offer not valid for purchases or Device Agreements made before March 29, 2024. May not be combined with other device offers. Taxes, fees, other charges, and additional restrictions apply. Learn more at cox.com/mobile.

The 60-day unlock policy does not apply here per my conversation with rep. The phone is locked as long as it is financed. And paying off early means losing the remaining monthly credits.

Edit: Another Cox rep says 120 days to unlock, and someone got answers of 60 days to unlock.
