Not a fan of Chamberlain. What these screenshots do not show you is the amount of ads in their app for a product that you have purchased and paid for. I would prefer to integrate it into my local setup (Home Assistant), but Chamberlain has gone out of the way to make it impossible to integrate, forcing you to use their ad-riddled app.

Hello sir, is there a brand you can recommend? Mine is out of shape, and stops working occasionally, need a new one

it's the same for any home products like ring; incessant ads to upgrade a live monitoring service. I just ignore it. Chamberlain was recommended by my local garage door contractor with over 30+ years experience, so it's a solid brand. deets: 2 car garage, house 40 years old. it's super quiet, works awesome. highly recommended.

Bought this, and immediately returned it when I found out the camera keypad dealie requires a paid subscription to work, and then it's buggy as f*ck and constantly crashes or malfunctions. So essentially useless.

Better to get the version from Costco's website that has the cam mounted to the motor, at least live view works there with no paid subscription.

FWIW I recently replaced both of my garage doors (3/4 HP belt-drive, no camera or anything like that), and calling around every contractor recommended Chamberlain/Liftmaster.

I agree. I had to solder wires onto my garage door opener button that was made for my car visor so I could use a Zooz relay to trigger up and down from Home Assistant via tilt sensors.

When this Chamberlain dies Ill be buying a "dumb" genie and using a MIMO or Zooz relay to make it smart with Hubitat/Home Assistant.

Was coming here to say the same thing. Ratgdo is wicked easy to install and setup. Worth every penny. It's even got more functionality than the API did, too.

If that setup ever starts giving you fits, look into ratgdo, as @playairguitar mentioned. I've got one and it's better than the API.

Call around, no contractor is going to install this opener for you for only 200.

The video keypad is JUNK. So just know you will need to buy a different one. The included video keypad has a battery that lasts 3 weeks (max) in a moderately busy household - likely less in really cold weather and the battery must be removed to be charged. Other deal-killers for the video keypad are that the WiFi range is horrible. I have a Unifi AP no more than 30 feet from the keypad and it constantly lost connection. Meanwhile, a wifi video camera mounted just above the keypad had no issues at all. The keypad can only be programmed for 1 garage door. And finally - for the video to be at all useful, a subscription service to their platform is required (and not inexpensive).

I just bought the one with the built in camera, love it so far. I can open and close my door from the app and see anyone coming in and out, it's great.
