Jokes on them, I have all the 10mm I'll ever need hidden deep in the engine bay. Just hit a speed bump at 30 when I need one.

Cheaper at Harbor Freight at the regular price, even more so when there is a coupon. https://www.harborfreight.com/10m...=10+mm+set

Only it's not the exact replacement. The HF set doesn't have any magnetic sockets, is has impact ones instead, and also mid-length sockets are replaced by a couple of 1/2" drive 10mm sockets there that I'm having a hard time imagining any use for

I have the HF set as well. It's not bad, but I like the feel of the Gearwrench better. You can never have too many 10mm lol

I bought the 10mm HF set it because most of my 10mm had been misplaced. After I bought it they seemed to come home and once again I have lot's of them, even discovered a 10mm Craftsman I bought in the '70's.

This is the wrong idea - you need to diversify your 10mm into different locations so you can't lose them all at once.

Those aren't Gearwrench sockets, they're Pittsburghs.

But they have a lifetime warranty that is easier to use than Gearwrench's, and they are more than good enough for 99% of users.

Even if they never break, higher quality tools fit better, wear out slower, and are nicer to use.

But if they do break, the Gearwrench warranty is as easy as filling out a simple web form and receiving a replacement in the mail shortly thereafter.

I understand what you are saying, but I think you're exaggerating the differences. This is Harbor Freight vs. Gearwrench, not Harbor Freight vs. Snap-On.

I agree that Gearwrench is superior to HF. The GW tolerances are tighter, so when your socket or wrench says 10mm, the GW might be 10.05mm while the Pittsburgh might be 10.17mm. This doesn't make a huge difference for most people doing light wrenching around the house, and is sometimes even "useful" if you're using a metric head with an SAE fastener, but if you have to crank at all on a bolt head or nut, the Pittsburgh is going to slip and round off the head well before the GW does, or split/crack in the case of a socket. Pittsburgh are also softer material, so, at least for their wrenches, the jaws can actually spread as a result of slippage and make the tolerances even worse.

When the price is the same and you might use it for automotive work, GW beats Pittsburgh hands down.

True. This needs a Subscribe and Save option since most of this set will just disappear after about 6 months for anyone who uses them regularly.

This is a way better deal than those 10mm break glass sockets...
