I just bought the 39" OLED LG from the other LG thread and I will never ever go back to anything less than OLED. The color production is on whole another level with oled panels.....especially for gaming. I'm seeing colors/textures in CoD and Elden Ring that I never noticed with my older IPS 32" monitor.

Zero dollars. You can find killer local deals on used IPS 4K 144Hz monitors online to hold you over until OLED becomes more affordable.

VA screens are fine for most applications and gaming. Those with deep wallets should consider OLED. The difference is brightness, contrast and color depth. For most gamers, VA is fine and will exceed expectations.

If on a budget, like most people, I would save on the monitor and focus on video card, storage, etc.

My opinion

Nope stop pushing this, VA monitors have terrible ghosting. I couldn't stand my Samsung g7 even on red dead redemption 2. Either IPS or oled

When is a better resolution 49" coming out or 45"? Who really thinks these are great quality… 1440p for a 49" really and able to see pixels.

Well, all ultrawides in that range are 1440 because of the dimensions. In fact, the ONLY ultrawide that's 4k is the 57" Samsung Neo G9, because its screen is taller than the others. It'll probably be a few years before that changes, because there's not a lot of hardware that can run at that resolution. Even the 4090 gets somewhat lower FPS on it.

At this price point I didn't feel comfortable with a normal VA. The neo's mini led is fantastic and my preference for work and play. I might have felt better if they had more specs available with how many dimming zones ect. This just turns out to be a 2020 panel from what I found. So I paid the extra money for the OLED.

I canceled my order for the VA and went with the OLED. I then had buyers remorse and decided to pay to go all out for the 57inch neo but Samsung wouldn't cancel the order by that point. They are wanting to charge a restocking fee if I sent it back. So I'm going to keep the OLED.
