This size of clamps is mostly useful for small hobby type work. They usually aren't big enough and don't clamp tight enough for normal woodworking use. Can be handy for holding small pieces while working on them.
Jorgensen makes some similar in size but stronger clamps, overpriced everywhere except at Lowes, where they are two for $14.98: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Jorgense...5014
