But no meltdowns after plugged in all day and all night.
It looks like the box was printed in 2020 and the product looks newer than 2020. Very light weight.
if they come on automatically when the power goes out and they last a couple hours - if i return home three hours after the power goes out... my 6 plugged in flashlights will be dead?
What exactly were you expecting? Some kind of arbitrary timer to turn itself off during a power outage? That kind of defeats the purpose of a power failure light.
Emergency lighting typically stays on until the power returns or the battery is depleted. Most commercial emergency lighting only has a run-time of 90 minutes (the minimum mandated by various codes and regulations).
I'm not sure why you'd buy this flashlight to not use in a power failure mode, but clearly you want to "envision the problem" to use a plugin power failure light like a regular flashlight that just inconveniently lives in an outlet all the time.
Keeping a lithium battery, especially not an LFP, at 100%, is a guaranteed spicy pillow.
I don't want six tiny Hindenberg's at my house.

I was able to get help on my ETONs that failed after 30 days.
Anyone else get a box that said 6 Nicad batteries?
Also, the discussions about functionality are interesting.
I have lanterns, flashlights, and power out lights that cover all situations. When the power goes out and it is totally black in the house you need a short-term pathway to see the hand in front of your face.
The Energizer lanterns that were on a previous sale, work very well!
