I was told to not watch season 9 and that it all ended at the end of season 8.

Do these have the original musical scores or have they been modified from the original broadcast due to licensing?

It's fine. You get some more fun JD/Turk interactions here-and-there. It's certainly not the best the series has to offer, yet I still think it's worth watching. BUT, if you're a stickler for perfect endings, then you'll probably need to end at "My Finale" on Series 8. The vast majority of Scrubs fans consider this the true ending of Scrubs.

Completely agree! Season 9 is so far from the quality of the earlier seasons but it gets way too much hate. The writing is still there even if most of the cast isn't.

Really want to get this at the current price, but not feeling the SD quality for this show. It feels like some shows definitely should have had an HDX upgrade by now, and this is one of them (Home Improvement also comes to mind). On the fence, but great price otherwise.

All of my previous research says the DVDs are the only way to get the original music. Unfortunately, this show had a lot of changes in many episodes/seasons to the original music choices, so if you want the pure experience, this isn't it.

I personally have the DVDs, being a big fan of the show. While I go digital with as much as I can, it's a deal breaker here for me, unfortunately.

It's been a hard rewatch (for those that remember the episodes well) as the music doesn't match due to licensing costs/restrictions. They've spoken about it in many interviews.

DVD is only way to get the original episodes

Season 9 makes it OK the series ended. Like ok so if there was a season 10 it would be like this, naw, I am OK with only 9 seasons.

Does this contain the controversial episodes?

It's only available in SD today.

Unless they come out and decide to scale the whole show up, it's only going to be in SD.

SD content isn't so bad, but too many streaming services cap the bandwidth for SD content way too low. I think it's made worse by the modern compression algorithms used on SD content that are designed for HD content. DVD's often look much better than streaming SD content unless you get the budget Mill Creek distributions of TV series, but even then - they're still a mild step up.
