Remember the brushless models have more power. My Ryobi is old before the + line but it has worked fine for my light duty use. Not sure if this is the + Sawzall

The OP vs the smaller brushless version (tool only) brushless for $60.

I never had one of these. I don't expect to use it often, more of a good to have.

I don't need the batteries per se. Just looking for versatility and value. Anyone? Thoughts?

I own the non-brushless and my dad love it so much that he borrowed it and never returned it. I'm going to go to Home Depot today to see if I can find and buy the brushless one. Similar to you I have no need for extra batteries ATM.

Where is the one-handed, brushless one being sold for $60? The full size brushless in on sale atHD with a 4 Ah battery for $129. [homedepot.com]

I have an old corded one (B&D or Craftsman, I think) that probably 20 years old and it has worked for all sorts of projects over the years. The motor is sounding like it is on the way out and I like the idea of not dragging out an extention cord for a qucik task, so that is why I was searching and saw this deal.

I am probably still going with the original deal, because I could use a couple more batteries. But the smaller one for $60 would be temping and probably work for most of my needs.

NM: I saw the post about the in-store only price on the smaller one.

I have this, it's great. I got a wood cutting blade for it and used it a lot in the garden. Took down small trees without problems, never once habe i wished for more power from a brushless version
