This worked to get an "unsupported" Android phone to work with this deal!

For this to work, your phone must:
- Work on the Verizon 4G/5G network with other carriers
- Have a physical SIM card slot (will not work for eSIM)
- Be unlocked so you can port it to other carriers
- Fail Spectrum's IMEI check (not really required, but no reason to do this if it passes the IMEI check)

It worked for my Tracfone/Samsung Galaxy a54.

Instructions:
1) Go to https://www.imei.info/google-imei-generator/
2) Generate an IMEI for a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
3) Sign up for the deal using that IMEI. They will ship a physical sim card for free.
4) Activate your phone using that card.

It's as easy as that. It worked. If it doesn't work for you, just cancel. No loss.

Great deal for me - I'm on a grandfathered $25/month internet plan, so for $25/mo, I'm getting high speed internet AND phone service!

People on this thread that had this issue:
When I've called in to Spectrum for the retentions dept to try and get a better deal on my home internet, they offered to include this as part of the deal. Last summer I was paying $85 for home internet (after 10 years of it going up every year). I called them and told them I was going to switch to T-Mobile Home and they offered to give me the new user price ($55) and upgrade me to the higher tier plan, and also throw in 1 free year of Spectrum Mobile. I ended up giving it to my 12 year old. Then this summer, called again and they renewed my lower price and gave me another free year. Only catch was it had to be a new phone number and they couldn't port the old number. But the service is good in LA area.

Sounds exactly like RedPocket, Verizon, AT&T, T-MOBILE, Mint, Xfinity, Cricket, etc., etc., etc.
EVERYBODY says that about every provider.
Internet providers I think there are some notoriously bad ones and some very good ones.

Google fiber you'll never find anyone with an issue

AT&T Fiber has also been absolutely topnotch and consistent

Spectrum? Dear lord. Outages once a week minimum. Poor connectivity during peak hours. Absolutely shitshow.

As for MNO and MVNO they're highly location dependent - they're all based off the big 3 towers so it's just a matter of coverage for phone service.

Not my experience.

I've been using them a long time, through two acquisitions (Bright house -> Charter -> Spectrum). Outages have never been frequent - they usually coincide with electricity outages. That's kinda expected.

Service has gradually gone downhill through the acquisitions (Bright house was fantastic)

I've had Tello and had nothing but good things to say. Especially like the data rollover feature

Got an email yesterday that says the offer expires 11/3 (bumped a week from the last one). Hopefully they push it out further, the line I plan to use the offer for is paid through early December.

My internet ultra 600 Mbps promotional rate 69.99 and free mobile line ends this month. Connected with mobile support line (cancel option), retention dept, and asked for to schedule cancellation of both internet and mobile line. I have mentioned about T-Mobile. They offered me 600mbps service for 42.99 for 12 months. Had to cancel current line in order to get 2 lines for 29.99. Rep was nice and offered the promotions with out any hesitation or bargain.

You may as well port over. You'd stand to gain more probably than what you're missing out on (half a month of service)

I'm mainly holding out in the hopes that I can use Black Friday deals in conjunction with this offer, either this year or next. No big deal if it doesn't happen, I'll take advantage of the offer either way.

I can't find any more details on this, I currently have Spectrum mobile, would love the ability to take advantage of this for one of my lines.

When you go to add the line, it tells you that you're phone is not compatible. There's always a catch with these morons.

When I did this for the first time last year I was told I have 7 days to activate. If I didn't activate, plan would start 7 days later regardless. I don't remember if it was 7 days from ordering SIM or from day of delivery.

I left Spectrum Mobile a few months ago, then got email last week saying they upgraded my home internet speed for free AND is giving me a free year of mobile service again. Haven't seen my internet speed go up yet (maybe it goes up next cycle?) but signed up for free mobile again. Took some time to ship the SIM but was able to receive it on the last day of my phone bill cycle and I ported in smoothly.

Read the earlier posts in this thread. I posted a workaround, if you have an unlocked phone that works with the Verizon network.

What's a good free or near free phone deal to stack with this new line?

I see pixel 9 with discount but have no interest. S24U is my high end target and am willing to pay more for it, but it's only about $300 savings after trade in. Not great.

I got bumped up to 600 MBS for frees when I re-located to Dallas & woulda got the free cell line for a year, but Im already paid up for the year on US mobile mvno. Hope, they will extend this offer next year, cause they run off Verizon towers & service is legit out here in da big D.
