Not a bad price but proceed with extreme caution. I had one of these die just outside of a year old. Sams would not issue a refund. It was during peak covid and I lost over $500 in meat. Going forward I never use one of these without an inkbird (ITC-308 ) temp controller. The alarm function when the internal temp rises above freezing will save me from the product loss should my current freezer die.

Standing freezers are better in my opinion as they offer better way to stack items. just my opinion.

Standing also use way more electricity, are generally not as temperature stable due to frost free, and need attention quickly during a power outage. Temperature stability is the big though though. Chest freezers keep food fresh much longer
