So you've read it?

Funny, cause I have. And by the sound of, you should.

You're welcome.
He founded a company that at least for some time was the largest company in the world. Even the most skeptical of people would consider him to know a thing or two about leadership perseverance and success. Right?
The NVidia CEO Huang told Stanford students that they should have low expectations, and that he wishes them "ample doses of pain and suffering". He believes that resilience is the most important skill for success, and that it comes from real-world experience, including suffering and obstacles.

In the 1960 film "The Little Shop of Horrors," Jack Nicholson plays a character named Wilbur Force, a masochistic dental patient. During his visit to the dentist, he famously says, "No novocaine, it dulls the senses. This way I get the full treatment"

Summary of it from Gemini:
The Comfort Crisis: Easter argues that our overreliance on comfort has created a "comfort crisis." This crisis manifests in various ways, including obesity, anxiety, depression, and a lack of purpose.
Embracing Discomfort: The book encourages readers to embrace discomfort as a way to improve their well-being. This can involve activities such as cold exposure, fasting, exercise, and spending time in nature.
Reconnecting with Nature: Easter emphasizes the importance of spending time in nature to reduce stress, improve mood, and boost creativity.
Challenging Yourself: The book suggests that by challenging ourselves physically and mentally, we can develop greater resilience and a sense of accomplishment.

Discomfort elevates stress/cortisol. Elevated lvls of cortisol is very bad for your body
You do know that exercise elevates one's cortisol levels, right?

Stress and elevated cortisol levels are not inherently bad.

To be fair luck played a large role in where Nvidia is at today. GPUs just happen to be very good for large language models.

I really, really enjoyed Scarcity Brain by the author, but was dissapointed by Comfort Crisis. It's basically a recount of his hunting trip, which is novel and rustic for him. Not all that profound to me though. It feels forced, like he was obligated to make a book out of it but had nothing new to say.
