If you have any say in the matter, you need to move to a database. Excel is not a database!

Agreed but you'd be surprised at who uses Excel for large amounts of data....

Unfortunately, no. I worked with a (then) fortune 10 that used excel for a TON of their internal data.

Thanks. I chatted with an agent on Lenovo website to get another $50 off of this price, bringing it down to $1,326.99. I don't think the price will be much lower during Black Friday / Cyber Monday (of course, I could be eating my words later).

How did you swing that? "Hey I'd just like it for $50 less" ? How does that work?

This is an insanely spec's PC for the price, isn't it? Crazy display too. If only we could get 4k with that high refresh rate.

Yes. Just chatted and was like "I was very interested in buying… already added it to my cart…but felt the price was a little high for my budget…can you consider a discount…", and the agent reviewed a bit then gave me $50. They emailed me the link to order with the final price of $1,326.99.

This is the second fastest mobile cpu right now, beaten only by the 14900hx and neck and neck with the 13980hx

Damn, out of stock now. This would be perfect to replace the aging MSI gaming laptop I have.

The RTX 4070 is not good for 4k gaming. The 8GB VRAM is very limiting. You wouldn't be able to game at high FPS at 4k in most modern games unless you set the graphics setting to low.

You really need a mobile 4090 for 4k gaming.

And yes, the screen is very good. Bright and colorful. That said, a miniLED or OLED screen would be better, but for the price this is really great.

I need a new computer and I'm looking into doing some light consumer 3d scanning. One of the 3d scanners I'm looking at mentions a minimum spec of I7 gen 9 or newer (no mention of AMD). I'm assuming this processor is more powerful but I wanted to ask if anyone knows whether 3d scanners play better with Intel or AMD processors?
