This is a good deal depending how you value the saw and battery.

Lowes still has an in store prorated deal where you can buy the 8ah battery for $199 and receive the saw for "free". This is prorated out to about $115 for the battery and about $85 for the saw.

This deal includes the fast charger for about $35 which is a good deal. Price breakdown is $80 for 8ah battery (standard good deal $10/ah), $85 for the saw (per the prorated deal described above), leaving about $35 for the fast charger which MSRP's somewhere around $100 but some people value closer to $50.

edited: to clarify fast charger MSRP. currently at Lowe's and HD for $129 and $119, respectively.

edit 2: link to prorated deal, in store only ymmv

Agreed.

Notably if you only want the battery or tool, hacking the other deal would come out better for you.

This ($85) is the cheapest the saw has been. FB Marketplace doesn't even have them this low used.

Yes! This saw is a beast. I haven't used my corded saw since I got this one.

This saw is being replaced with the DCS590, which is exactly the same just rebranded (they are dropping the Power Detect branding). As long as the DCS574 is still available no reason to buy the DCS590.

There are quite a few complaints about the blade not lining up with the zero mark on the shoe, make sure to check that if you order this saw. The DCS590 has the same exact issue.

If you don't need the battery/charger, the DCS574b on sale for $149.

I think he was suggesting that it retails for around $100, which it does ($120 actually).

Torque test channel has a comparison between dewalt XR and 20V flex volt. XR came slightly under in terms of torque. If you are debating between Lowe's XR vs HD flexvolt

Appreciate the insights. Regarding the blade not lining up with the zero mark, is this something that is obvious/easy to see with the naked eye?

If you don't need the battery/charger purchase the prorated deal in store at Lowe's. The DCS574b comes out to $85 after you return the battery.
