FYI I am the one who posted (and purchased) the previous deal for the same blender when it was a $15 off promo code a couple of weeks ago, making it $285. The blender was shipped directly from Vitamix Corp and arrived 11 days after I had ordered it, although I had ordered it on a Saturday so 2 non-business days.

I called QVC to ask if they'd refund the difference since this promo is better by $35, and the nice lady did. So if any of you ordered with the previous deal, call in for the difference.

FYI this is the only Vitamix series that doesn't fit under standard cabinets. Also does not have SELF DETECT technology and only has a 5-yr warranty (versus models with 10-yr). Still a good price if it fits your specs and kitchen!

Is this basically just a rebranded 5200 or is there some difference in the features/options/performance? I bought my first vitamix a few months back when the v1200 refurbished deal showed up for 200$. I still somewhat regret not going for a 5200 refurbished for about 100$ more. I hear the container this container and the one with the 5200 are actually better for blending smaller batches, and maybe just in general its the ideal shape/size.
Keep the v1200 for $200. It's better and newer than this 5200
Use the money saved on a container you want.

Thats the actual hilarious part - the containers are 100$-150$ and even then none are the same shape/size as the tall one that comes with the 5200 that seems legendary and is the same setup used by chefs the world over.

If the 5200 container is so good, they'd sell it separately.
It's that's nostalgia effect.

I love my Vitamix but it feels like the brand purposely complicates the product lineup in some attempt to extract additional money from a subset of their customer base.

I bought a certified refurbished "Vitamix standard blender" in May 2018 for $270. Not sure the exact model. It doesn't pulse; just has a speed dial, an all-out switch, on/off switch, plus a damper and regular container (doesn't seem particularly wide nor skinny). It's all black.

More than 6 years later, it's still going strong. I don't even remember what the warranty is… it's been worth every penny, and if I had to buy another every 6 years I would. I get the feeling though that it will be around for a while longer.

I do all smoothie, ice, and frozen food crushing in here… also soups (hot and cold), nut butters, frostings, mixing wet baking ingredients (in lieu of a kitchenaid mixer), and even combining dry baking ingredients (instead of sifting and stirring). It really is a very broad ranging appliance.

In October 2024, this blender for $250 seems like a no-brainer, regardless of whether it will fit under a cabinet ..

love my vitamix. got the 7500 a few years ago in red for this price to match all my red appliances. been using it weekly. if i'm not blending spinach, kale, parsley and a lemon for a smoothie, i'm blending soups. usually i'll boil entire pieces of veggies with seasoning and blend to a super smooth consistency. i also use the machine to pulverize flax seed, add it to gluten powder and oat fiber powder to make keto bread.

I assume this isn't a part of their legacy series?
This is the rebranded legacy 5200, with 5 years of warranty instead of 7, and no free return.
