Having owned these in the past, I'm of the opinion that they're both functionally and aesthetically outdated. Unlike more modern fans with various types of edge connectors, these fans run 2 cables each - 4 pin PWM power and a separate proprietary Corsair RGB signal wire (to an RGB controller hub, so a different destination than the PWM cable). It was definitely a nightmare wiring 10 of these in my Lian Li O11D Evo. On the aesthetics side of things, there's only a light ring on the front (intake) side of the fan, while many alternatives offer them on both sides. Also, and your mileage may vary as this is subjective - I think the individual LEDs are way too easy to spot - Corsair didn't do a good job of diffusing their glow around the outer ring, nor the center hub (although it's less noticeable in the center). Just look up LL120 on YouTube and you should be able to easily spot what I'm talking about.

Still, if you're already in the iCUE ecosystem and/or don't mind the downsides, this is a decent price.

Great deal.....looks like the 3-pack w/ the lighting node pro is on sale for a heavy discount as well. I'm going to grab this but just a heads up they are 3-pin.
Thanks for posting.

No edge connectors means these are a pain to wire and you'll have a massive ball of cable to hide somewhere. More importantly, the ports on the corsair commander burn out constantly. In a year my fans were no longer spinning. Fine, moved the fans to the other ports and configured the fans again. In a year those ports were burned out too. Unless you want to be taking your computer apart every year and buying another 50 dollar commander every 2 years, highly recommend staying away from corsair fans. If you want these you should google and read threads about the commander shorting/smoking/burning.

not that i'm in the market but, for the tradeoff of rifle-bearing instead of hydraulic, and non-individually-addressable leds, is it worth the tradeoff to get this kit of five for $3.76 more? https://www.ebay.com/itm/305616408677

Have had 3x LL120 and 3x SP120 rgb for years now along with commander pro, might update the sp fans to these, and yes a giant rats nest of rbg wires as expected, the newer QX ones are alot nicer but also alot more expensive.
