I'll be interested in getting one of these once they start selling them at Best Buy, Target, Staples, etc. Right now these and other VR glasses are only sold at amazon.com and the manufacturer website. They are also about 50% overpriced imo.
Buy from amazon and send it back if you don't like it. I tried out a pair of the Xreal Airs last year and they were cool and the tech was great. Not worth the $400 at the time, but this tech will be incredible in a few generations.
I want to wait a little longer for this tech to develop before I buy anything, but I am SO looking forward to getting a pair of XR glasses to use with my Steam Deck and for work when I'm remote in a place with no extra monitors.
I've been looking at these for a while, from what I gather, the Viture Pro's are definitely leading AR glasses right now. The only thing holding me back is my glasses prescription (I have bad astigmatism), it sounds like getting the custom lenses made is a huge pain/cost due to the lens shape.
BTW, the $409 amazon deal also comes with a free 8bit gaming controller right now. Not sure how long that promo will last.

I have a pair of the Viture One XR, the ones that came out before the pro. They are pretty amazing for video games and movies, and even play Apple Spatial videos in 3D really well (need Spacewalker app for that). I'm really tempted to buy these for the additional 15" of screen space (older one I have is 120".

When you watch a video how did the edges look?
The main complaint about these glasses (not just these but other brands as well) is that the edges look real blurry.

I have the original ones and personally I didn't have an issue with the edges being blurry like some have mentioned (I also read this before getting them and was wondering how bad it would be) but it didn't seem to be an issue for me. Sometimes when I take off my contacts, I have to increase the optical adjustment to max (-5.0) which isn't enough to match my prescription (-6.5 with slight astigmatism) but I can actually still see pretty decent with it essentially being only a 1.5 difference.
I used these a lot when watching movies and youtube during my breaks at work; ever since I got busier with life, I still find myself using these to watch something I like be more immersed in like a good movie or some ASMR videos with earbuds. I'm curious how much better the XR pro is vs the original; I've read a lot of reviews saying they are nicer by a bit but not a must have for those that have the original. I wonder if they'll have another updated one within a year or so, but this is a good price.

Never had any issues with the edges on this one. I've heard of the edges being blurry mostly with the Xreals but can't really confirm or not.

They're not VR but AR.
And you're never going to get any of these AR/MR/XR glasses in any store anytime soon. Why are you afraid of buying them from a company's website than in store? Because you can't return them? Well then buy it from Amazon.
And how do you think they're 50% overpriced? What do you have to compare it to that makes them that expensive? VR headsets? Totally different tech.
