Anyone have any feedback in comparison to Embody? This seems like a steal compared to retail for a new one.

I highly recommend this chair. Steelcase chairs in general are terrific, but this is a great deal and this chair will last you for years. My last one I had for over 10 years with heavy daily use. Add some of those rollerblade-style wheels to it and you're good to go. Of course, like everyone says, chair comfort is highly subjective.

I was considering getting one since the Embody Gaming is now $2,000; just wish Amazon price matched. I have a bunch of Amazon GC I need to use

Good price if you want one without the headrest but I'd recommend the headrest for anyone that is seriously considering the Gesture.

You can make the seat cushion very short with its adjustments. It should be able to work for a bit shorter than 5'6".

That being said, while I have this chair and like many things about it, the seat cushion is very stiff. If you like a cushier seat, you might choose a different option.

So overpriced for home users.
For anyone that spends a lot of time in a chair at home, a good chair is essential. It just depends on how often you're working at home.

After churning through a new office chair every 2-3 years or so, I bought the Steelcase Gesture and have used it for the past 3 years, and everything still feels like new, including the cushions. Buy it for life basically.

These are commercial quality chairs made for office environments. Everything else that I have seen online are just "fake" commercial style chairs, they won't last.

I was in between something like this and a Secret Lab chair (cheaper but still expensive if you're used to cheap chairs). Went with secret lab when I started working from home 4 years ago. Love it so much still. Definitely recommend if it doesn't ruin your aesthetic you're going for.

I use an Embody at home and would have rather gotten an Aeron. I've used both and Steelcase chairs at work and would still rather have an Aeron.

This is a proper office chair and not some influencer YouTube garbage

I'm 6' and hated this chair, felt like I was constantly being pushed out of it. That to me would't indicate that someone shorter would have too hard of a time, but I obviously can't speak to the specifics. The seat can be pushed in to be pretty shallow.
