600TBW? Dismal. Thanks for sharing. I came here to post the same info. Certainly not suitable for frequent backups.

3 year warranty. So for daily backups, at 560GB/day you'd hit the warrantied write limit within the warranty period. A bit shocking (for the price), considering that 2TB NVMe drives selling for ~$130 have 1,200TBW endurance (and 5 year warranties). Wow.

I guess this will fit someone's needs, or use case.
What are you backing up that needs to be backed up daily?

I really don't get why every SSD has some post whore saying XYZ is not good bc low tbw. Heck I have a 1tb nvme SSD that I bought one that first came out and it's still 90% health.

I'm glad they're still making these SATA ssds because my system is an older one without a nvme m2 slot. This is a good price but the market should lower the standard pricing.

560GB/day? 😳. Holy cow. Typically daily backups are just the diffs, meaning new data and/or file changes. Generating 560GB of new data per day is wild...

People here like to exaggerate how much data they generate just to crap on a product and to look "important and knowledgeable "

Perfect for Xbox one x?
Nope. I have a samsung 860 evo on a usb 3.0 sata adapter, it is slow as balls and can only be used to store the game but cannot be launched from external drive. Microsoft has locked it down for everyone to buy their overpriced certified M.2 from Seagate or WD. Used to be able to buy an adapter and throw in a m.2 2230. But they did a firmware update to block those.

Yes, that's why I don't take them seriously. If they really want to be credible, at least be unbiased, realistic and simple.

Thank you. I guess I'll be buying 1TB or 2TB Crucial MX500 internal SSD instead. SSD price has gone down thankfully.

Idk about u but I'm not interested in Series S, and as far as long term usage goes for the $, the One X wins. I really believe this One X will be relevant for 1-3 more years to come Smilie

Just bought a Eufy Homebase 3. Would this be a good HD to use to expand my storage?

Not the most ideal, the endurance is low for a 4TB drive which implies the flash chips are QLC.

Ideally you'd want a drive with TLC chips and an endurance (TBW) rating 1000TB or higher (for 4TB size). DRAM is a nice to have as well, but adds to the price.

Those consume less power compared to nvme so they're good buy for NAS HDD upgrade. The power saving and noise reduction from both raid writing and higher fan speed make the upgrade worrhful.
I don't know about that, nvme power depends on the model, the power saving modes are much more advanced, sata power saving mode is very old so they stay warm.

Not sure about your needs but I have a 1tb in mine with 3 cameras. Not 24/7 recording btw. But after 1 year, I'm at 2% used. With the 1440p cameras on 15-30 second clips. I'd suggest 1tb or lower. Mainly for prices.

Have had a couple SanDisk SSDs take a dump on me after only a year or two.
still using a 480GB Extreme Pro MLC drive. it's a beast of a drive for it's time. solid performance. was hoping a 4TB 870 Evo will go on a good sale in a few weeks.

I can see 2 years ago I bought 4qty 4TB teamgroup drives for $147 each which was a slick deal. I need to do that again to beef up some servers and computers.

Thanks. I'll look for an alternative option
