Picked this up. These sell for the same price used on Facebook marketplace where I am, so it seems resale value really holds up.

Good price. Picked up one two years ago on Prime Day and use it weekly feeding a family of 4 and making fresh bread for lunches. Not be-all end all of bread making, but for a weekly white loaf, set and forget before bed and wake up with fresh bread every time, can't recommend enough.

Is it super soft like store bought? I never could get that quality

The milk bread recipe is similar to bakery bread, and is soft inside for the first 2-3 days then firms up a little over time. Nothing will be soft forever without preservatives, but the first few days, and especially the first 24 hours are soft and pillowy inside. The crust is never as squishy as manufactured bread, but... Manufactured bread...

No, because that type of bread is not real bread. You can triple the yeast and it will be fluffier, but it will taste weird.

I guess dreamwarrior meant those kind of mass produced bread has a lot of extra chemicals added. Bread should be flour + salt + water + leavening.

I have tried ordering this breadmaker from Kohls 3 times over the past month, each time using coupons. Each time I received a cancellation email, with no explanation. I just tried calling them to ask why the orders are being cancelled and they say they "cannot disclose". Anyone else have a similar experience?

Can't say I experienced that, but my order from Saturday shipped today and is with FedEx now, so they aren't unilaterally canceling orders at least.

Yeah Amazon never has good prices on it, I noticed that when I checked on here and saw all the deals for it were through Kohls. On the bright side the $399.99 price is full retail or close to it, so you really just have to wait until you get a 40% coupon and can buy it then. They may not have the $10 Kohls Cash on each $50 spend, but it's pretty common that they have that too in my experience.

Actually I just opened up a credit card account with them and got a 40% coupon with that, so I was able to get in on this. Getting ready to make our first loaf today. Thanks Again!!

Right now (12/14) you can get 25% off and free shipping just by signing up for a Kohl's account (applying for their credit card account not needed). That and free shipping gets the total price to $314.99.

Not quite as good as the 40% off with a new card account, but I don't want any additional credit cards, so this worked OK for me.
