Perhaps I was not clear in stating what the person at the store said: If you purchase it now they will NOT do a price match when it goes on sale.

You were very clear. The person is wrong. You dont ask for a price match in advance. You ask after the fact. Costco will do a price match within 30 days. This is not something to doubt. It is fact.

Unless I am misunderstanding what you mean by advance purchases but here is an example to clarify

1. You buy 77 LG B4 on Nov 13, 2024 for $1699.99 @ Costco
2. Nov 18 price at Costco drops to $1599.99
3. On Nov 19th you contact Costco and request a price match for the $100 difference
4. You will get the price match

Great Deal! I paid $1800 for the 77B3 just over a year ago (excellent TV). This is another example of OLEDs coming down in price...a very good thing
