Excellent headphone more than capable of being used for video games. Better bass than AKG 702s, but closed in soundstage by comparison. Want to hear creepy footsteps around you, 702s. Explosions going off and more impactful gun shots, 6xx. Closed back then maybe the AKG 553.

The biggest argument against the Sennheiser 6xx is that the Hifiman HE400se exist and are $109. I don't agree, but some people think the 6xx is boring because it is fairly neutral.

Pretty flat bass. 3K Hz bump.

You came on this thread to give an opinion no one cares about

Just for those who don't know, these are terrible for plane travel. They are open back and without noise reduction. Also, BC they are 300ohm, you won't be able to plug into the plane's A/V interface and hear much without an amplifier. Otherwise, these cans sound great in specific environments

I was part of the first numbered drop for these all those years ago.

Still consider them the best bang for buck headphones ever. No, you can't use them for every situation, but for at home use with a decent dac/amp they are unbeatable for the price. Extremely comfortable and they sound fantastic. Very neutral, but I've always loved them.

For reference I'm comparing them to the LCD-X which are my primary headphones that I use at my desk.

I use it with Helm Audio Bolt DAC + JDS Labs Atom AMP and it sounds great. I also have Sundara which is also great headphone. I don't know which one I would prefere more.

Can I plug this straight into a PS5 controller?
I have a similar pair of massdrop x Sennheiser that plug directly in. They don't get super loud, but they sound great

Heard Sennheiser was good for Warzone ArtisWar tunes. Are these the set to buy, or should I seek a different model?

How do these compare to my beloved SHP9500s?
wait until the plastic screws and hinges break. much like the Phillips x2 and x3, the build quality is very poor. and intentional. how else will they get you to buy a new pair? i will never buy anything from this scam brand ever again.

I have an old pair of HD595's.
What are the most difference-making spec differences? (Or between any 2 pairs in general?)

People willing to spend $150+ for wired headphones know what they are getting and the "inconvenience" of the wire is a non-issue.

These are an amazing pair of headphones. I have bought more expensive models since these, but keep going back to them.

Philips X2 poor quality?! You crazy man. I have the X2 for like 10 years the most rock solid and most comfortable headphones ever for me at least.
I have bought multiples of them so not just a one time thing. Couple for me in different places and rest as gifts.

Dang I just bought this on their 179 sale two weeks ago. Anyone have experience with a price match?
