Got a pair and they did not 'lose' polarization after al summer use. I like the quality and the look. Not sure where the hate is coming from.
I looked didn't find anything here is my article

No. Polarised glasses do not lose their functionality over time, unless the lenses crack, chip or break. If you feel that your eyes are more light sensitive and you think your lenses are to blame, there may be other factors to consider. Your prescription sunglasses may be too weak or not suitable anymore, or you could have another underlying condition that causes light sensitivity. If you experience this, book a consultation with your eyecare practitioner and take your glasses along.
Not saying they are good or bad but sunglasses only loose their polarization through user error (break,Crack, etc) UV is different

Sperry glasses are literally like the quality of gas station glasses. Bottom of the barrel. Acetate? No....more like bendy, flexible plastic. Good if you buy one and plan on throwing them away the next day.

Are they great, no. But at $16 they are perfect for leaving in the car for days your wife forgets to bring her sunglasses.

I bought a pair of their men's aviator style glasses a few months ago, for $20. All my expensive sunglasses have scratched lenses, and I haven't wanted to pay to replace them, so I figured I'd give these a shot.

They're complete junk. Within a few days, I kept having to tighten the screws multiple times a day, because the arms just loosely flop around, making it hard to hook them on my shirt. They feel extremely cheap. I can even see the "polarized" engraving in the top left corner when wearing them. I've never had that problem with Oakley or Ray-Ban.

I should have just put that $20 toward new lenses for my good glasses.

Sperry glasses are not high-end but I've bought a few pairs and enjoyed the style and fit. Even though they never last terribly long I'd buy a couple more pairs at $16 if they had any styles I liked, but none of these are for me.
