Try living in a place with snow.
Are you "that guy" that walks around in cargo shorts and flip flops in zero degree weather?
Never heard of this brand. Are they any good? Msrp inflated I presume?

That is hilarious and so agree with you. Just odd when people do that.

They have long been known for excellent and unique insoles. Use them for cycling.

Bummer the studded version is not goretex...

I ordered the GTX, male and female versions both have Gortex and studs.

With all the ice in the world disappearing, this is going to be collecting dust.

IDK about that. If all the ice disappeared, your shoes would be under water collecting marine life.

White toes, hairy legs, and a hoodie...it's a look!

Yeah, Icebug is one of those boutique brands that you see pros wearing. This is not an everyday walk-around shoe though. These have reinforced rubber cleats for grip. Might be weird to walk around on pavement.

I bought two pairs. I don't know for sure, but this might be that once/year opportunity to get a really good deal on hiking shoes/boots.

from my experience, $50 for a pair of gtx shoe is a great deal. but then, as somebody else pointed out, the winter is getting warmer and warmer, at least from my past 20 years of living at Chicago land.

Still have two pairs of gtx shoes (hoka and ecco) brand new sit in the box for the past two years. will pass ...

Wife and I each have a pair of these and they are legit in comfort, style, and craft. Live in MN and these are my daily walkers in the wintertime.
Is sizing true?

Are you saying that it doesn't rain or snow in Chicago anymore? I was going to go to Cancun in December but maybe I'll just book a week in Chicago instead.

We ended up getting some "STABILIcers" from Amazon for around $20. They are rubber silicone cleat things that will go on or off any shoe in a few seconds, and seem to work well for casual use. Not sure if I'd use them trail running though…

My only use for these is shoveling my driveway, do you think the stabilizers would work well for that

Icebug is a wide by default - these are similar to Altra's in how they fit. Pretty comfortable overall too and the GTX ones are definitely waterproof.

Any way to use regular laces if that one breaks?
No, but you can buy replacement BOA system parts directly from BOA if they don't cover them under the warranty (which they often do). They are pretty strong though.
