500 lumen is perfectly fine depending on use. You don't want 1000 lumen when you're under a car or working on a fuse box. This h25lr headlamp has the Samsung lh351d emitter which is a flood light not a throwy emitter plus it's high cri so colors are not washed out.
Everyone seems to be missing the point on these. They're deep red lights, these are for specific tasks like preserving night vision. I use red lamps for walking into and out of the woods while hunting, animals are far less sensitive to red and green spectrum lighting. They're great for fishing at night, they attract about 10x less bugs than a white light.
Those don't have the red light which is the main feature of the sofirn.

Picked up two. Red is essential for transitioning between tasks when preserving your night vision is priority. Camping, driving, hunting etc. Your eyes will transition much quicker with red which is why it's used in the military for night ops.

Thx for posting.
I don't need $29 worth of stuff for their free shipping. Just ordered this from AliExpress without battery for $10.87. Free 2 week shipping, and I already have spare 18650s.

this one has 160,000 LM and its $27 with a big whopper 25% off and says for me to sign in for 20% off 20 items if i sign in but i wasnt born yesterday so i will log in later when im on my vm thats double isolated and separated from my home network so there wont be any funny business with my iot fridge or air fryer or skbidi toilet. maybe one of you can test out what that 20% off 20 really gets ya but if you like me and not so sure cause you dont know if that means its 1% off 1 or you gotta buy 20 or you want to keep your smart toilet free of haxors then thas still a great deal for lots of LMs probably enough to light up a baseball field for a 1am game with your kids

Don't fall for that. A 160K lumen light would melt your head.

500 can be fine for basic tasks where you don't want to blind yourself but the energizer x1000 type heavily diffused is better for cheaper

I have this and it's a very good headlamp. Lasts a long time and is comfortable to wear.
The only drawback is its micro USB charging.

500 max lumens is a hard pass for me
You can get significantly more light for just a bit more $
Most of the advertising is false....most likely your 1,000 lumen light doesn't produce anywhere near that. Also note that the lumens drop off significantly after the led warms up...on ALL led lights, even the most expensive ones...most are down to 200 lumens after 10 mins of use

Pretty sure it was a different model HS20. (And different price point.)
