Remember that these are the PRE-Black Friday ("Event One") deals listed, and no one has yet announced the actual Black Friday ("Event Two") and Cyber Monday ("Event Three"). The thread should make that clearer.

I did the iPhone deal last year for the 12 and I already had straight talk. I'm almost positive I activated it at home myself.

went to 10 stores last year, none could activate ST phones even if they had iPhone SE in stock...don't waste your time with Walmart cellular...
Had same problem. They claimed the didn't have phone after I checked online before going, and also said they didn't activate it. If I remember correctly I had to order it online to get the deal from ST.

What does "called out" exactly mean?
I worked retail, and I will tell you. "Called Out" is just like it sounds. It means that somebody called the store, and said that they couldn't work their shift for any number of reasons. It happens a lot on Black Friday, but most jobs make Black Friday mandatory for all employees, and if you don't come in, it's an automatic termination. At least for most companies. I was the only employee in my whole department at MACY'S on Black Friday (The loading dock/stock room team), and they made me sit on the loading dock for 22 hours straight, by myself. In case any of the employees needed any extra stock, but mostly to keep people from sneaking back and stealing things, because the lock on the loading dock door had been broken, and they hadn't fixed it yet. So, I basically just sat in a chair and listened to the radio for 22 hours, and got paid for it. It was extremely boring, and this was before smart phones, so I had to bring a book.

Yeah, some people say "call in", some people say "call out", some people say "call in sick" or "call out sick". Just basically retail slang for trying to get out of scheduled work.
