Note that the 86-inch version is much better for gaming, as it supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, 4k @ 120Hz gaming, and VRR. This version is limited to a 60Hz and doesn't support a variable refresh rate (VRR).
This is a major feature for me. I will not ever buy a TV without 120 / 144 native. Thanks for pointing this out. It needs to be a major consideration for potential buyers, I truly believe.
I have 2 Hisense TVs that are both over 5 years old and working great. I have a 2 year old LG which has: broken edge lighting, several stuck pixels, and a lagging/crashing UI.

Please research, the tv he linked is not hdmi 2.1 or 120hz. You have to jump to a Q series LG for hdmi 2.1 or 120hz.

Specs show 60hz for the 86" model. What am I missing?
You are not missing anything. It's bad advice from him. The tv he linked is not hdmi 2.1 or 120hz. You have to jump to a Q series 86" LG for hdmi 2.1 or 120hz. Like a UQ8 or QNED series.

Thank you too, those are noteworthy distinctions. FWIW I did notice the model was a UT7550 not the same UR8000 as posted here which I planned to research what those two models brought to the table.

Yep, 86" UQ75 is the first that comes to mind although that's a 2022 model, not that that is a bad thing but some folks prefer buying the latest and greatest.

The 86" 'version' of this TV is not hdmi 2.1 or 120hz capable. You have to jump series to find that. The UP8770 was the first model where the 82"/86" had 120hz capability and that tv was not well received. Current 86" 120hz panels are the UQ75 and QNED series. Maybe one or two more but those are the big ones.

What you need to know about similarly priced Hisense models. Whatever model Hisense shills got with local dimming, higher brightness and better refresh rate isn't at this price range for the same screen size so why even bring that up? The only one with similar price is the 75" QD6 which has worse screen and the typical reliability you find with a Hisense budget line. It's $450. That's what I meant with my $50 more comment.

I always wondered why Slickdeals promotes Hisense deals but you rarely see similar priced TCL TVs with the same budget features get unnoticed. It's obvious this website shills Hisense big time.
I mean the $400 75" Hisense a6 I got last year is better than this one per rtings

Decent review on rtings.com. I'd buy this over the Hisense even though it's $50 more due to reliability.
Had a TV repairman tell me he wouldn't buy an LG due to poor reliability.

If you're referring to the one that's on sale for $799 (Item # 990356841), it's 60Hz, not 120Hz

just me but I'd stay away from any giant $500 TVs unless you want one for a basement kid's room. Full array dimming and higher refresh rates + HDR stuff matters, unless you're just watching cartoons or CNN all day long

Never buying another LG TV. My last one lasted 3 years and had bad pixels.
What tv? My bedroom LG OLED C6 from 2016 is still as good as new. No burn in either.
