The Wave series is the best selling multitool of all time. It's about as large as you'd want in a pocketable tool. If you don't know what to get or your gifting, this is a great choice.
Wingman and Sidekick are smaller than a wave with a lighter duty frame, so better for the pocket and many people. They are more "entry level" kind of position in the lineup. The Wingman has scissors, but the scissors don't have a spring so they kind of suck. The package opener is pretty nice, but not essential. Wingman is made for suburban life. The Sidekick has dedicated serrated/non-serrated blades. If you're going camping, you might like the sidekick more.
Rebar is the "best value" tool here. Think of it as the entry level working man's tool. Everything is heavy duty but it's smaller than the Wave at a good discount. You don't have any outside accessible tools, though. So if you're primarily using it as a knife you won't be happy. If it's primarily a working tool, you'll probably enjoy it a lot.
Skeletool is kind of the multi-tool to have if you primarily just want a knife. relatively lightweight and just want you need. But the driver is pretty nice...i've used that many times doing IT stuff. FYI - the Skeletool CX has a very nice, premium knife without serration. If you were going to gift a skeletool to a knife nerd, get the CX. It's not on sale though.

It's a fantastic tool, hands down my favorite multitool I own.
