Note that signing up for Play Pass does not guarantee that all accounts will be eligible for the ability to upgrade to Gold right away and/or the 30% off discount, however; so attempt this at your own discretion.

After tax, 30% off and trade-in of my P8 the total would be $111 ($601 before trade-in). I'm super tempted. Here's hoping that the discount sticks around until December like it claims so that I have a few days to think about it.
Edit: screw it, I'm in for an upgrade. Not a huge fan of all of the AI but I was probably going to get a P9 anyway and it'll be around $100 after cash back. Far less than the 7 --> 8 upgrade last year.
