Haha, I already bought 4 of these.
By far the cheaper Lifepo4 ever. Less than .10 per wh.
Rated at 1920wh and I've tested 2 of them and got 1950wh.
Was going to post this but it seems I always get deleted everytime I post a deal.
These are not cranking batteries, they are designed to supply current at a somewhat steady rate. You would not want to use these type of batteries as your starting battery.
Description says 120A max continuous discharge x nominal 51.2v for your x4 series, so I come up with 6144w max output.

Working back from you numbers, it appears you might have been multiplying 12vx150ahx4 batteries to get that number and were referring to capacity?

In that case, multiply the 150ah x nominal 12.8v x 4 batteries for 7680w/h. Then multiply by inverter efficiency (check inverter, but 80% is conservative in most cases) to get usable capacity, which in this example would be 6144w/h

WRT pics above, you can see the BT glowing on the upper left nut, and those black squares in the PCB are cutouts for additional securing bolts to the compression cage on the cells. I can only lift the PCB up so far due to heavy wires, but took a peek (pic) and see welded bus bars, temp thermocouples, and possibly EVE 150A cells, but I will eventually QRcode them to be sure.

Already screwed it shut, but I did NOT look for lengthwise compression straps, but it dawns on me that in a confined metal box, with end 'cages' on each end, the cells are pretty much already limited on just how much they can expand, so feeling secure the cells are secure.

Thanks for sharing the pics and info!

Would be really interested in seeing if the QR codes can report the cell info. Actual Eve 150ah would be awesome.

Also, have you by chance tried to connect using the Overkill Solar BMS app? If it can connect, it should show a lot more detail on BMS config and higher resolution on battery state.

In one of those 'hmmm..what does this button do?' moments, I hit reset in the Overkill BMS app, and it reset all the pre-existing parameters, and showed a 75% charge state...which actually matches my Genius 3500 (3.5A) lithium charger's status lights. I was concerned about this discrepancy, but the BMS was initially mis-reporting SOC to both apps, until I hit the reset button.

With great power, comes great responsibility!

I probably should have warned you about messing with the BMS settings using that Overkill app as it has the ability to overwrite the factory defaults and you could potentially create very unsafe operating parameters. So probably not change any factory settings unless you absolutely know what you're doing. I'm sure that is one reason the factory supplied apps are all nerfed to some degree.

But now that you can see all the BMS parameters, you can understand how it is calculating SOC, LVC, HVC, capacity etc. You may or may not agree with the factory defaults. They tend to be more aggressive than is advised by the experts over at diysolarforum.com. But if it's the factory defaults it's hard to argue since EW will be the ones (presumably) providing the warranty.

Congrats. This looks to be a great deal and the battery appears to offer all the features as advertised. And the use of the ubiquitous JBD BMS not only means it works with the Overkill app but also that replacements will be readily available in the future if needed.

Solid deal all around.

Agreed! I'm thinking these metal units are even fairly priced at $212, but I surely won't complain at $168. I didn't set any new parameters but did turn off 'celsius', but reset seems to have cured an errant SOC condition...things looking up, and thanks for the Overkill tip! Cheers

I just got mine today. Plastic case and looks super brand new. I'm guessing this is new stock of the plastic case versions, which I'm happy about since that means I'm getting some fresh battery cells. Battery looks to be like high quality.
My battery info is attached.

You might wanna hit that reset button...pretty sure you're really at about 75% SOC.

Found a decent primer on using the Overkill BMS app with these units:

Wait for black Friday deals. They keep getting cheaper and cheaper
$700 is the best I've seen so far for 48v 100ah with wireless monitor. I am almost about to pull the trigger but still hoping it will hit $500 a piece so I'll buy two. $1000 for 10kwh would be an insane deal.
