Great find!
Great find!
Would definitely jump on it if I didn't hate the les paul weight so much, and the single cutaway.
Also, I believe you get 8% in credits ($136) if you are a Rewards Member, and that is a thing for all Musicians Friend purchases

As a lefty myself, I was once told at a guitar shop:
"They don't make a left handed piano"

Context: MF & GC are known to share inventory especially since COVID. In recent years, when MF/GC had these kind of "deals", in most cases, you'll be getting floor models.
To confirm, simply go to GC and check the same item. For example, GC has this red LP with a notice:
https://www.guitarcente
https://www.guitarcente
"Limited stock available
Demo gear has been played by customers in Guitar Center stores, and has visible blemishes, scratches or dings."
This indicates that the identical item you are purchasing from MF would be in the same condition. You may chat online or call MF CS to confirm. Usually you'll get a blemished or beaten-up guitar in a random box, sometimes even missing parts.
It happened to me so many times. If you are okay with demos, go for it. You may be able to get further discount after receiving the floor model and calling them back.
Personally I'd avoid purchasing LPs from MF/GC, or in generally any "deals" with this pattern. I got 3 LPs in these custom colors (1 60s burgundy, 1 50s green and 1 60s green) for only $1899/ea back in May, no tax, from an authorized dealer, shipped to CA (10+% tax if from MF/GC). You just need to call those smaller authorized dealers and make an offer. In my case that dealer was simply selling the plain top color ones for $1899 and the figured ones for $2000+ at that time online, no calls needed at all:
- 2023 Gibson '60s Les Paul Standard Nitro Plain Top Sparkling Burgundy $1,899.00 USD
- 2023 Gibson '60s Les Paul Standard Nitro Plain Top Inverness Green $1,899.00 USD
- 2023 Gibson '50s Les Paul Standard Nitro Plain Top Inverness Green $1,899.00 USD
And I traded the new 60s green with someone locally for a slightly used 2022 50s goldtop, which is still a plain top technically but $200 more in MSRP. I call those real deals.
