If you're a purist, you can leave the NES games to use B to jump and A to attack, but I found it more enjoyable to change A to jump and X to attack. I know that's not how it played on an NES controller, but I'm a modern man who jumps with A.
To prove how unworthy I am, I also stretched the screen to 16x9 to fill my Steam Deck (16 x 10, I guess). And I'm glad I did.
There's a quicksave option, so you can play through most of the games rather quickly since you don't have to keep replaying a section to get through it with enough health to survive.
These old games were hard! I think they assumed you wouldn't mind dying a lot until you learned to master the game. I just don't have time/patience for that like I did back in the NES days.
Finally- there are 2 other Castlevania Collections on Steam (not EA?). None of them have Rondo of Blood, Symphony of the Night, or Castlevania 64.

Ah, well.... $3 well spent, probably. At least I played it already.

For myself, and several people I know- we happily add the free games to our Epic libraries, but almost never play them and certainly never spend money there. Since this has been already going on for years, I don't really see that changing anytime soon.
Whatever it costs Epic to give away these games, probably isn't having the returns they hoped for. So it doesn't surprise me that they'd be scaling back on the free stuff.
never finished any of them
looking forward to grabbing these and also never finishing them!
