I looked this specific model up. Quite a few ppl don't like it.
Here's a person's comment on a Mr. Gizmo YouTube channel. Many other comments concur.

This shouldn't be $139 as list. The full electronic version from Costco is $139.99. It is currently on sale for $99.99. Model GTF7698
With Costco return policy, I'd lean toward Costco model for peace of mind.

I think I'll pass on this one.

I've been using this one for about 5 months now and its not very good. It burns the food in the back, unless you rotate your food. I make alot of frozen cookies that came out crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle with my old air fryer, but NOT in this one. The ones in the back burn. They just don't come out right at all. My machine has a huge gap in the door! More than what I've seen in others vids. The handles do get hot. And even tho it comes with a recipe book, I really didn't like many of them. It's hard to know if you should cook on air fry or convection oven. Like for example, casseroles. I always have to guess and I never know which pan to use or what shelf, so I find myself constantly having to search for those answers, that I have come to find out gourmia doesn't answer. Don't use foil, use parchment paper. The pans are very hard to clean, unless you don't have a problem with massive scrubbing. Anything left on the pan will continue to burn and smoke if you don't get it all off before your next use. There's NO light, so if I want to check my food without opening the doors and pulling it out I have to shine a flashlight in to see. Also the 8x8 pan casseroles I've made took way longer than in a reg oven with a 9X13 pan."
We haven't had any issues with ours. The toaster oven style is more versatile, but is not as good at air frying as the basket-style since the fan is on the side instead of directly over the food - it's more of a convection oven than air fryer, but it gets the job done. It works fine as a toaster oven and is large enough to fit a frozen pizza or bake a dozen cookies at a time. Bake times and temps have to be adjusted down since the elements are so close to the rack, and yes the back gets a little hotter than the front but that will be the case in any countertop oven that doesn't have an insulated door. Overall the convenience factor makes up for it's short-comings so it's a decent budget product if you have limited counter space or don't want multiple appliances.
I got the cheaper $49 Walmart version during last BF. It's good for the price. I've baked cookies, frozen pizza, fries, salmon, chicken wings in them. No real major issues. The gap between the doors is not an issue and it doesn't get hot with our version at least. I don't use high temps over 425, so I don't have any burning issues. I also always put foil on top of the catch tray to make the cleanup a bit easier. Lastly, the only drawback after using it for a year is the convection fan is slowing down due to grease and using it on a daily basis. This will happen with most air fryers after heavy usage.

You probably have something else plugged into the same circuit. The unit should not draw more than 15 amps, which is the limit for residential outlets. It's also possible that your breaker is getting old and needs to be replaced.

So I just went to the store and looked at the store model. There is a huge gap between the doors, about 1/8". I'm canceling my online order with store pickup. The heat will definitely escape. I can't believe this is even sold in stores. This should not even be allowed.

Why would you need french doors on this little thing. Do people really only use one side?

Doors open both at same time. They are connected. Works pretty good and saves space you need in front

I have the one from Costco (I think it's slightly bigger at $99). Bought it a month ago, no issues so far! Works great

I have the older model for this item and it's great. My only complaint about it is it's a PITA to clean. Yes sometimes you have to rotate the food but most air fryers you have to rotate the food or flip your food. It's a nice size air fryer if you're trying to replace your toaster oven. With all that said I'm in for one πŸ™‚

We had this model for over two years. Love it. No issues, yes there is a gap in the door but it hasn't caused any issues for our family.

I'm looking for a high-quality air fryer that isn't made of plastic. This type of oven seems great, but I've seen concerns about the door possibly having a gap.
that makes me worry about the some air fryers that use hard plastic cage to seal in the heat.

Is it possible to create a safer, more durable air fryer that's not made of plastic or Teflon ?
You could check out the Bella Pro models at best buy. I have this model...
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/bell...Id=6412331
It is currently pretty pricey as I paid $60 in 2021. Best Buy will likely have it cheaper before the holidays. It still seems cheaper than the other brands recommended in this post.

One thing it does not do well is toast. There is no option to turn off the fan and it is actually strong enough to blow bread into the heating element. Also, for pizza, I like a very crisp crust and it cooks too fast to get the bottom crispy. My solution is to put it top down on parchment paper for a few minutes and then flip right side up to finish. I usually can pull this off without too much topping loss.

Only used the rotisserie once as it just feels like too much work setting it up and I do not do whole chickens often.

I just don't get all the hate on this unit. I love mine. Use it almost daily. I was skeptical when I bought it because of all the hate but 🀷 work great for me.

I have the same oven with a single door. The controls/menu are really annoying any cumbersome. I only use it every couple of months, so I have to re-learn the quirks/sequence every time. It also runs the cooling fan for a long time after cooking is done. All that to say I've had much simpler units that I liked a lot more.

Ninja Crispi. I'm looking at that one once my instant brand air fryer gives out. Too hard to clean.

Need to get a bigger air fryer. We have the normal style in a 4qt. Whats the difference between the toaster style air fryer. Toaster seems more versatile, like it would be better for baking, frozen pizza. Can anyone share the pros and cons? We mostly use ours for making chicken wings or french fries.
ATK says toaster style is not good at air frying.

Good as a toaster oven though. So, yes, good for pizza.

See YouTube. ATK has several comparison videos.

Yes I have the same one from last year, I love it.
