If you have Chase freedom series credit card, Paypal is within the 5% cashback category this quarter. In the PayPal app, there could also be a Best Buy 5% cashback offer. If you purchase from Best Buy and pay with PayPal, you could get the 5% + 5%.

If this were the M3, I'd consider it at this price. Upgrading from a 2020 MBA M1. I'd appreciate the upgrade chassis and RAM, but the M2 is already two generations behind.

Okay, I got it to go through. I just ordered it first and submitted the price match request while waiting for pickup. Instead of needing two people to approve it, this way it was just one agent so odds were better. They almost denied it because they were looking at a different color than what I had ordered so the model number was different. $750 with 5% chase freedom cashback and 5% paypal cashback.

Do all M2 with 256gb have slow storage (single channel or whatever is called)? I know they fixed that with the M3.

Exact same thing happened to me. I was able to ask them to honor it since the last agent approved the price match. I also had a screen shot. Try again with a different agent!

The original chat agent declined to match because Costco's sale was for a short time. HUCA and the 2nd agent said no problem but couldn't send me a link that worked with PayPal. Told me to buy it for $799 using PayPal and she would set up a credit. Transferred me to a 3rd agent who did the adjustment. Credit just showed up. Thanks OP!

What's wrong with your M1? Just ready for an upgrade? Or does it feel slow? Trying to gauge the longevity of these M series machines.
