The regular promedia goes down to $99, the promedia heritage never has.
Additional 10% off code drops this to $179.10 before tax:

The heritage are better. I recently upgraded from the regular promedia to the heritage. The sub is bigger and digs a little deeper, the speakers get louder. The speaker boxes are wood vs plastic.

The heritage comes with a remote to adjust the volume and the sub level, but loses the on speaker volume dial that the regular has ( which was easier for me when used as computer speakers).

This used to be $99 when it was on sale

Is there any difference between the old ones and these Heritage Pro Media?

I have the version before they added bluetooth.

People complain a lot about the auto shutoff. If 10 minutes of inactivity it just shuts off, and sometimes doesn't turn back on right away, per all the reviews on klipsch.com reveiws

Not disagreeing but you could add a smart outlet to offset this

Apparently there is a firmware update to disable the auto off according to this video.

I have a set of these and wanted to use them on my desk, but the backs look like they just went with whatever is the cheapest thing imaginable. My desk faces the room entrance, so these had to be used elsewhere in the house. They are great looking from the front and the sound is pretty good to my ears. Just wish they had considered that they might not be backed up to a wall and they would be perfect. I paid a bit more th an this a couple years ago on sale ($240/costco). I think solid for the price if they work in your space.

Are these better than the R15-PMs? I think I've had the R15s for like 5-6 years now, great speakers but I like the design of these and like that they have a matching subwoofer.

Don't buy this crap. If you are watching a movie and the volume is low, like a background noise, and is not enough to trigger the thing, it will automatically shut down. It's really annoying. I had the old model which was gold
