There are so many models, I'm editing to add a link to this comparison chart [reddit.com] (update here's an even MORE DETAILED COMPARISON CHART [reddit.com] thanks JohnS3825) along with this advice from my comment below :

1) If all you need is vacuuming, then just get the most basic Q5 model. They are excellent robot vacs that are quite smart and vacuum well and will last a long time.

2) You don't even really need a self-emptying dock unless you have a heavy hair, carpet, and pet-shedding situation.

3) If mopping is important to you, then the newer, more expensive Qrevo models may be worth it. They have the dual spinning mop design and a dock that disinfects and dries the mops between cycles.

4) Ignore the "obstacle avoidance" feature when choosing a vac. They haven't gotten this right yet on any model so that shouldn't be your deciding factor.

5) To narrow it down further, choose the vac that's right for your home rather than the one recommended by random strangers. If you have low-clearance furniture you want to vacuum under, then measure that height and it could be a slim model is the only one that could get under it (they do vary -- unfortunately height isn't in the chart linked above). If you have high thresholds to cross between rooms, pick a model that has the clearance to get over the thresholds. If you have high pile carpets, pick a vac that has high clearance or is smart enough not to accidentally mop them.

6) The very newest models (Qrevo Curv and Qrevo Edge) truly do it all. They have this new "DuoDivide" brush and a redesigned side brush that remarkably do not get anything tangled in them. Their self-cleaning docks heat and disinfect the mops better than previous models. But they are crazy expensive and I hestitate to tell anybody to spend that much on a robot vac. By next year they'll probably have these features in models half this price.

I have a QRevo and just got a QRevo S (smaller tanks for water is the only difference)

The QRevo has been a trooper over a year and does a great job of keeping the place clean. The mop design is great, two easily rotating mop heads that can easily and cheaply replaced.

Man, the choices have changed a lot since I bought my 2nd gen roborock. I've since gotten a shedding dog and am looking to upgrade.

Can anyone who's current on all these models tell me which would be best for pet hair, medium-pile carpet, and has a self-emptying dock? I don't care about mopping as my house is mostly carpet.
The Q5 Pro+

The others all have mops.

Vacuum Wars is probably the best website to find reviews and head to head comparisons for all major robot vacuums. Their youtube channel is very thorough.

Agreed, their testing is thorough and they present it in an easy-to-digest way.

I would just caution folks not to put too much emphasis on differences in basic vacuum/suction performance. All vacs produced in recent years do a fine job. The most important differences/advances these days are in the anti-tangling capability, and in how how the dock, mops and app work together handle various surfaces and stay clean and disinfected.

I found a more detailed comparison table [reddit.com]than the one listed by the OP. There's a lot of nuance but generally, at these prices, I think the Qrevo S is the best bang for buck Roborock. Jumping up from there, the Qrevo Slim looks like flagship features for a decent price. I wouldn't get anything in between those two. And if price is not object, that's the cheapest the Qrevo Curv has been, but I don't think its worth $300 more than the slim. The Curv's ability to go over large transitions could make it the no brainer choice to specific houses.
Thanks. I updated the OP to include this chart. I would agree with your assessment but with a couple more pros/cons.

The Curv is better not only for thresholds (which I needed) but also for it's dual anti-tangling system (which really is remarkable) for those who have long hair issues. On my older models like the S6 and Q5 I couldn't go more than a couple of weeks without using the detangling tool to cut/pry hair/debris out of the main and side brushes. The Curv doesn't even come with a detangling tool, because it just doesn't need one. In about 6 weeks of usage the rollers and side brush look pristine. It's kind of astonishing.

On the flip side, the height of the Curv should not be ignored. I have at least six pieces of furniture that my old vac cleaned under but the Curv can't reach. It is literally 19mm taller than the Slim! I honestly would give up the ability to climb into our bathroom, and the obstacle avoidance features, to get a Curv that was 8-10mm shorter.

Not useless. Roborock has a ton of models. I'd recommend the Q5 Max+. It only vacuums. I have the Q5+ and really like it, which is an older version. If you mean "won't get stuck" because of obstacle avoidance, the OP is right. They're all fairly bad at that. But the only way to get decent avoidance is spending a ton. If you mean won't get stuck under things/on rugs/etc., then I've had good luck with my Q5. It rarely gets stuck and will try backing up if stuck under something
Thanks a lot!

I think the deal summary gives good recommendation. Everyone has a different use case (some might need more vacuum others want better mopping). Instead of just asking for someone's random recommendation, pick it based on your requirements. Personally the edge mopping and spin brush is important for me. But all the models with that seems fairly expensive so I might wait to see if eBay has refurbished deals on the revo pro. I have had good luck with their refurb units.
Thank you!

Just because it's not for you or pricey in your mind makes it crap? Lol. I just bought the qrevo pro for $600 at target. Worth it to me ..move on with your manual vac or broom if this doesn't interest you. Not everyone is suffering financially. We printed a lot of money and there are many people who benefit big from that lol

Uh don't project your situation to others. Many people are doing well. You do realize stocks and real estate are at all time highs right? I'm getting a curv since my s4 is dying.

These things are incredible. Mine vacuums daily.
