Sam's Club is the by far the best deal for me with the lowest price plus an extra 5% so I go there whenever I can. Costco is a close second. The other gas stations around me may as well not even exist.

Costco is top tier and Sam's isn't. I don't think Sam's is bad, ymmv esp if your vehicle has direct injection.

I actually get better gas mileage with Sam's than Costco so I'm not exactly sure what that "top tier" even means. 87 octane is 87 octane. I think the nuance differences are very minor if you ask me.

It's all the same. Between the epa dea derm fish and wildlife hmo ppo gas is gas. The only difference is the additive at the distributor right before it gets delivered to the stations.

If you have a Walmart+ account (can get one for $50 a year when on sale), you get 10 cents per gallon discount at Walmart/Sam's/Murphy gas stations...that seems to match or exceed any other offer, and is constant. The membership, for me, has paid for itself with free Paramount+, and the grocery delivery. Hint: when doing grocery delivery, you can select "within 3 hours" to get your stuff delivered within that time frame for an extra $5. But for me, it's always turned out to be within the hour! I'm sure it'll be different for different areas.

Then there's the InHome delivery add-on for those who need it. Advantage there is that you don't add a tip for the driver (they are Walmart employees), so it pays for itself there. However, you typically have to order your groceries the day before, and you are limited to choosing between a morning and an afternoon delivery. (I prefer narrowing down my delivery to a one hour time frame).

P.S. Of you receive SNAP benefits, you are automatically eligible for Walmart+ at the half-off price of $50 per year.

I also feel I burn through gas much faster when I fill up with Costco. Must be the ethanol
