Seen this on the black Friday spreadsheet. Looked it up it was 149 on site. Went to store 149 so I bought one. Son should be happy.
Neither are OLED? Why even bring that in the comparison of these two monitors?

One of the costcos local to Chicago suburbs had this for discount 130 in clearance a month back. Wish I had picked this up...my local one fluctuated and now is on 150usd price.

Will i notice a significant difference coming from an old 28" 60hz 4k samsung? I'll never go back to 1080.

Depends what you do with it and the specs on the old monitor are. If you're not gaming, you probably won't notice the increase in refresh rate.

Pixel wise, though, your 4k samsung is 44% more pixel dense than this monitor.

3840x2160 at 28" = 157 pixels per inch
2560x1440 at 27" = 109 pixels per inch

Depending on where you're sitting, if you use a screen magnification, etc, you may or may not notice this.

Light fps gaming, 4k 1080 video photo viewing editing. It's 28" 60hz but 4k is amazing compared to 1080. I've never had a 2k monitor.

Is g-sync compatible with both amd and nvidia?

Too bad it is only 15w output , 65 w would have elevated the feature beyond gimmick

Oled would be 3x more expensive though also soo yea lol.

I like LG but the usb c on this msi seems pretty cool.
Only 15w… not sufficient for a laptop

If you want to use one cable for power and monitor connection then you should look for 65watts usb c port, at least

Good point, 65w definitely would be useful.

I would probably stick with your 28" 4k.

Gsync is an Nvidia things so only compatible with nvidia GPU's. It doesn't mean it won't work with AMD GPU's, but the extra benefits are with nvidia gpus.

Excellent gaming monitor for the price, only issue is that it's a bit slow coming out of sleep sometimes.

Who makes the panel? I logged into my local Costco website and it shows only delivery option for $41. Do you think it's available in store? They don't answer the phone.
