Reason I ask: I've bought several of the highly rated Hamilton Beach Portable Blenders and the container starts leaking after about a year.

Highly recommend this to anyone making shakes/smoothies daily; it's quick, fairly small, and convenient. It aerates my shakes and makes the texture more smoothie-like and I don't have to play shake weight every morning. It's a bit louder than I'd prefer but I only blend for ~5 seconds at a time so it doesn't bother me too much, unless someone's on the phone nearby.

For the HB blender I've been using, I am not grinding ice. In a separate grinder device, I grind nuts and seeds and am basically pouring milk into the blender then this powdered concoction into the milk for blending.
It's weird, none of the little motor holders has warn out. It's like HB built the plastic cup so thin & cheap so that it wears out in like 14 months after the warranty ends.
