Project Farm did a review on it and it does have the Force Start feature to jump dead batteries.
This is the cheapest I've seen it.

This is a hell of a deal. I bought it for $100 last year and it hasn't let me down once.

The fifth picture on the Amazon listing shows a force start button.

Definitely helps! Let's see others chime in and we should know better if this is normal or not.
Thanks!
My plug in car battery charger has a jump start mode that is 75 amps. It causes the charger to make a clicking noise and the meter gets jumpy, but it will jump start a car. Maybe this is similar?

Crazy.... BF price with the $20 coupon is more expensive than full price with $50 coupon a few days ago (this is not including the coupon code for addrional $50)

I also contacted AVAPOW about it.
my 400A clicks once when in Boost mode. auto unclicks after 15sec.

let us know the reply.
also ask them if Force Start is equivalent to Boost in other competing brands?

I received mine, charged it for like 4 hrs until all 4 blue lights were solid. Then tried charging an iPhone, it did for like 10 minutes and died. Not sure if I got a dud?

I plugged it in again and left it there like for more than 24 hours now. All 4 blue lights are on again, but wondering if I need to charge for longer. Did anyone else have this issue? How long does it need charging before first use? Thank you!

Did it just shut off after 10 minutes or was it indicating that the battery was depleted? Also, what were the specs on the charging brick that you used?

Hi All, been away for Thanksgiving break and haven't checked emails much. I don't have my pack with me either (don't need it), so I can't do any real world usages. But just checked and here's the reply from AVAPOW. Hope it helps:

The click sound is the sound of the relay inside the clamp, the frequency is once in 2-3 seconds, this is a normal phenomenon.

1. Voltage reading of 0.84V with clamps attached (blue light indicator):
This voltage reading is normal in standby mode, as the product is designed to register a low voltage until it is activated or connected to a load.
2. Voltage increase to 16.17V with Force Start activated (green light indicator):
This behavior is also normal. Activating the Force Start function triggers the device to output a higher voltage, enabling it to provide sufficient power for starting applications.
3. Clicking noise and automatic deactivation of Force Start:
The intermittent clicking sound you hear is likely the device's internal protection mechanism regulating power output. The Force Start function is designed to deactivate automatically after 10-15 seconds to protect the device and ensure safe operation. This behavior is intentional and not a defect.
If you experience any difficulties with the product's performance or have additional concerns, please feel free to share more details. We are committed to ensuring you have a smooth experience and are happy to assist further.

You can see the red button in his video when it's connected to the car and he's doing the cranking test. Weird because that other video shows it works with the override button. I'm on the fence, might just splurge for a noco.
Don't watch videos about gbx155 that won't take a charge ..

Got yesterday, fully charged it and put a volt meter to it.

1st pic says 0.84 volt (blue light indicator).
2nd pic with the "Force Start" says 16.17 volt (green light indicator).

That Force Start with 16V should theoretically give a dead battery a big kick, but not sure how long the jumper would last. I don't have a dead battery to check.

Here's my question to all who has one! When my Force Start is activated, I would hear an intermittent clicking sound (about every 2 seconds), and the voltage would drop down to the high 15V's (not significant), and then after about 10-15 secs the Force Start would automatically deactivate.
Is this everyone's experience or do I need a replacement? Thanks!

-5F this morning and my relatives CRV wouldn't start.
They had this Avapow in the car overnight. Showing 4 bars charge.
I helped them use it to jump the car.
It took 4 attempts of the car not turning over and the jumper showing "LC" for low capacity/temperature
On the 5th attempt the jumper had warmed up enough and it did not show LC and turned the engine over successfully and it started.
From this experience I would recommend keeping the pack indoors until needed.
And if it is kept in a very cold environment to either warm it up first or keep trying as each attempt warms the pack a bit.
