I cook for a family of 5 sometimes in our 28" and sometimes on our 22". It's all about use of space and efficiency.

FYI I got one with fold down side trays, 2
Years ago for about $200 I'm able to store a bigger flat grill for the same footprint of the 2 burners that the sides don't fold down. Something to think about.

cook for 4 on the regular and have 0 issues of churning out burgers, chicken, cheesesteaks for big family get togethers of 15+ people. had my 28in for 3 years now and found 0 need to have bigger.

It is rolled steel. Yes it can rust if you don't season it and warp if it is "shocked" as well. Omnivore is just their marketing name for how they have engineered this now compared to their originals. It has lower BTUs that can achieve the same results as previous models with higher BTUs, and is supposedly more shock resistant as well.

FYI: I had 3 Blackstones and they rust like a mofo. Even taking care of them. Had a Weber grill 3 years in the rain and almost cero rust, freaking quality.

I used to get a yearly grill from Walmart for fathers day or my birthday. I assume they were the cheapest. I would get a new one because they would rust. One day my friend told me about his Weber never rusts and I honestly worried I wasn't taking care of the grill and that was why mine was rusting. I took the chance and got a Weber. I am on year 4 and except for the top rack (it started to rust) it looks like the grill is a few months old. I can still get the rack to shine.

You just have ot make sure you clean out the bottom. They get mucked up and rusty quick if you don't.

I saw that it was sold out online, so I took a chance this morning and headed to Walmart at 5am-ish. Can you say FIRST?! haha...I guess folks don't camp out like they used to. Honestly, I wasn't the first one there but I was the first one to wait in front - most folks didn't want to wait in the cold so they hung out in their cars (50 degrees is freezing to us Cali folks). In any case, once they opened up I bolted to the outdoor area where they only had 3 in stock! BAM!!
