Resale value for variants from other regions is lower, and even lower still for reprint covers. Many may not care about this, but some people do.

With the big bold disclaimer, has anyone bought a Switch game from Woot recently and gotten an actual US copy? They worry me it'll be UAE or literally not even English packaging.

The Switch is region-free, so it can still play U/C/J/PAL titles just fine. If you're worried about the cover, there are printable versions available:

The Mario remakes seem to not hold up values as well as other new original Mario games.
Mario RPG dropped in price fairly quickly for a first party Nintendo game. I wonder if Paper Mario will too.

Great game, but I can't justify $42 for a game I've beaten dozens of times on my Gamecube

Isn't this game 37 years old repackaged?

Mario RPG isn't first party. The original was developed by Square and published by Nintendo. The remake was made by ArtePiazza and published by Nintendo.

Really not liking that they put that disclaimer in their posts. Instead of being transparent on which version they are selling. I'm iffy to buy any of these now. Specially since a lot of them seem to lack the ESRB logo in the pictures they are using.
Only used Woot! twice. And that was just only a few short months ago when i used them for the first time.

I thought it was a valid question. Ive never played it but generally enjoy most Mario games. I could not get into the RPG and am hesitant to pull the trigger on this one.

I took a chance about a month ago and bought 2 games with this disclaimer and neither game was North America region when I received them. Since I'm a semi-collector and care that my games and covers are NA region, I won't buy any Woot games with the region free disclaimer any more.

That's kind of what I figured, thanks for the response. As someone else pointed out, resale value is lower and I'd like to stick to NA releases.
