whether you want a 5000 series or not, probably not wise to buy a GPU right now.

So tempting. I am hoping for 4060 Ti or 4070 Ti Super deal for BF. But doesn't look like its gonna happen now that nvidia has already stopped producing them. This is going to keep the prices high as demand only seems to grow. Smh. Nvidia dicking us all
Cause they can. That's like saying Lamborghini keeps dicking us with their prices. Unless AMD makes a top competitor... AMD just gave up and will compete in the mid/low tier and sell in volume. Maybe to a certain extent blame Intel for not stepping up either but they look like Boeing now.

AMD will continue doing gaming console chips, gaming PC handhelds, and low to mid tier graphics cards. I think they can make good money that way.

Ofcourse they can. Their tech, their market to control. Not angry, but we can complain to each other. Its therapy

Thanks OP. I was looking for an OEM single fan 4060. They are going for about $265 shipped before tax. The new retail price hasn't changed on 4060 and 4060ti since introduced.

I think you can make more money investing in Nvidia than crypto mining. Maybe every high end Nvidia card should be redeemable for 1 share of Nvidia stock Stick Out Tongue

It's like when my econ professor said he was glad his electric rates were going up because that meant his stocks in the company went up as well. Hehehe.

Bought a refurbished 3090 on eBay. Looks good on the outside but DOA with crashes.
Same with me, bought a 4070 from their ebay store. Look new to me, but man did it have issues. Returning it was a breeze.

Yep these prices are still insane. $877 for a REFURB 3090 ti that is about to be 2 generations old in 3 months? Jokes. New ones were on sale for around $1100 2 years ago.

As long as it has issues returning is a breeze. Reading the fine print, it sounds like they'll enforce a 15% restocking fee for returning functional items

If anyone needs or wants a card, you will regret not buying now when the Trump tarriffs hit next year and a 5080 is going for $2000 MSRP and $5000 from scalpers.

That's a bad seller on ebay. You need to return that.

Doesn't matter. Most people won't be able to get their hands on any 5000 series GPUs until months after release. Always same story, every generation.

Second this. All of the components come from China. It's now or never. Companies are already buying up stock proactively in anticipation. I have to pull the trigger this holiday season for a cpu bundle from microcenter or else.

Any of these worth upgrading from my 2070 Super?

I am fine now, was just thinking of getting 4070 after the 5000 cards dropped, or a 5070 depending on price
