Double-downing on this so people understand. The pump is in the tubes - it should be at the lowest spot like lower than the bulk on the CPU, if installed on the top of the case - its great, if in the front so make sure the pump is in the lower place of the case with the tubes going from low to high (air bubble will go to the radiator top spot so its good). This only applies for AIO with the pump inside the tubes (like this one).

Fantastic cooler, I highly recommend Thermalright. I've bought several of their coolers, had an issue once with one dead fan and one dead AIO (after about 2yr of use), and they made the RMA process very easy. I received a replacement within the same week of reporting the issue - Amazing company IMO

The pump does not need to be below the CPU block. In fact often CPU blocks will have the pump built in for most designs. The key element is you want the pump in a spot where air bubbles do not end up in the pump. This means the top of the the tubes or the rad should be oriented so the pump is not at a relative high point. You also don't want the tube barbs as the highest point. If you mount this across the top of a case you are fine. If you mount in the front of a case you are fine but should mount it so the tube is the low point of the radiator. If you mount it on the bottom of your case... .. well i guess.. good luck..?
