Be careful with your trade in. I jumped on this deal last time. It took several days to get it to Samsung and then several more days for their tech to look at it. They told me that my old watch was not resetted even though I did do the reset. They asked for proof, but I did not take a video of me resetting the watch. They said their tech could not do the reset. So they denied my trade-in, and returning my old watch. However they said the return Windows has passed so I cannot return the Watch 7. So I have to keep the Watch 7 and they charged me $200 for it. But then they said they will reset my old watch before returning it. But I am scratching my head because they said they can't reset my old watch in the 1st place. And now they are resetting it because the trade in was denied. Huh? I don't get it. I have been a loyal fan with Samsung for many years. I have had many of their premium products. This is stupid and I am done with them.

Sorry for the rant. If you're doing this trade-in. Be sure to take a video of you resetting your device in case they want proof. So you don't end up like my case.
Rule #1. Always pay with a virtual card
Rule #2. Record EVERYTHING. Condition of the watch, resetting, how much it was charged, packaging it.

If you follow these 2, Samsung will almost never do anything.

Also, lately Samsung is taking far too long to get the trade-ins evaluated. From the last deal, mine got delivered to them on Oct 28, and they told me to reach back on Nov 15 if the trade in was still not evaluated. I did reach out and they manually closed the trade in. So don't wait for more than 2 weeks for them to evaluate your device
I don't necessarily believe in lying, but if you tell them you have a video they usually just cave and give you the discount from what I've heard at least

Echo on the being careful with your trade in. Samsung has been the only company that I have had issues with. I sent them in my watch which was reset and in great shape. They sent me back a blurry image saying my watch was damaged and not functioning. They would charge me full price for the watch I purchased. I argued and asked to cancel my purchase and return the watch. They stopped replying and charged my credit card for the MSRP of the Samsung Galaxy 5 (this was after the 6 was released and they were selling it for less than what they charged me for the 5). Finally got escalated on the chat to someone that honored the trade in price. Was not a pleasant experience.
I still haven't opened up the Galaxy Watch 7 I received from them when I traded in my Galaxy Watch 5 in mint condition. I'm waiting to find out if they give me the full $200 trade in value for it. If they don't, the Galaxy Watch 7 is going back because I refuse to pay full price for it. I hope they don't drag their feet too long in assessing my trade-in. Any ideas on how long that usually takes?

UPDATE: I just got a notification from Samsung today that they approved my trade-in of my Galaxy Watch 5 and I got the full $200 trade-in value. For those waiting, the trade-in watch was delivered to them on 12/3 and the trade-in was approved on 12/15.

27% cb?!
Cap1 shopping sends personalized offers via email for some really high cb rates. I think they track what sites you go to, don't make a purchase, then send an offer later.

My trade in order is late. Do they charge you on the "Send by" date if trade in not shipped?

They told me they give you like a 6 day grace period

But I would not wait to ship it

I sent mine on the ship by date, they received it like a week ago and they are still "evaluating" it

Could you elaborate on that grace period bc I'm yet to ship it? Did they specifically mentioned '6 day' ?

And I supposed it would be safe to assume that once the trade in shipments tracks, it doesnt matter how it it takes and unless they deny your trade, they cannot charge you

I just called support and they said it's 21 business days after they receive my trade. I sent it on Dec 3rd, it took until Dec 20 for it to be delivered as it sat in Texas for a week and a half. Now they're saying 21 business days from Dec 20 which includes 2 holidays so it's still another week and a half and all they can say is please give our team time to triage your trade in.

Mine was delivered on Dec20 and support says give 21 business days more from that date. I sent it back on Dec 3rd, it sat in Texas with fedex for a week and a half. By the time these 21 business days pass it'll be damn near 2 months since i mailed it back.
