Sodium Carbonate vs Sodium Bicarbonate. Washing soda is stronger, basically.

Mixing it with water and using metal rods and electrical current to clean metal.
Works really good for at home. Not for use indoors.

Oxiclean is sort of bleach, this is an alkaline detergent

I add it to the wash with my regular detergent as a booster. I use scent and dyes free detergent and this makes sure my clothes come out without any smell. It also helps prevent the washers from smelling dingy.

It's different but both help with additional cleaning on top of the detergent. This product seems to be better at removing odors that won't go away after normal washing. With the powdered Oxiclean the package usually says to use hot water. I prefer to wash colors and darks in cold water to prevent fading and shrinking as recommended by the clothing labels but you do you.

Bought this super washing soda locally a few weeks ago. My gym clothes now finally smell clean without using scented detergent. Add some Borax plus the washing soda plus detergent and you can do what's known as laundry stripping if you can let them soak overnight. Look up youtube videos on laundry stripping before replacing any expensive clothing or sheets or whatever. It's a nice life hack.

If you check the listing in Amazon, one of the pictures has some instructions on how to use it for different things. I was curious too and found that interesting.

This is considered a good deal? It's normally $4.78 at Lowes.

You can also use this to make your own laundry detergent - it is something like 1 cup this, 1 cup borax, and 1 cup soap flakes (like fels naptha)

Reference: https://www.thespruce.com/diy-lau...ts-2145722

I have been doing this for years but may move away from it. The detergent works very well, but you have to use at least warm water. Also, it is kind of a pain and messy to make (I usually end up using a cheese grater on the fels naptha bars and then use my food processor to mix everything up and add some extra 'cutting' to try and get the soap smaller).

Washing soda: sodium carbonate
Baking soda: sodium bicarbonate
OxiClean: sodium percarbonate (essentially sodium carbonate + hydrogen peroxide, which gets released in the wash and acts as a bleach)
