Prana changed the materials and quality on their pants. It is no longer a good brand to buy.
I've had a couple pair for about a year and can't imagine them being much better. I like them more than comparable NF, Mountain Hardwear, and Vuori at a similar price (all on sale, of course...this is SD!). YMMV.

For the Zion pants, this was true when they went from their original Zion to the Zion II. The Stretch Zion II (https://www.prana.com/p/stretch-z...69791.html) is bad. It pills up right fast and falls apart and isn't worth getting.

Last year, they brought back the original fabric Stretch Zion fabric (https://www.prana.com/p/stretch-z...56941.html) which is back to being as good as it previously was.
