Also be aware that when you get these subs through Roku, they are not the full regular sub. They are limited and you may not be able to find the content you want on them. At least that's how it was last year.
I would MAYBE pay $5 for all these services COMBINED

This is the junk tier streaming services

Most people do just fine with Netflix + HBO Max + a service they get for free (Amazon Prime) without the need to sign up for a service with 10 shows and 50 movies
I've only had it for a couple months, but I'm enjoying the "From" series, which is an MGM+ original. I can't comment on any other original content other than to say that there's quite a bit. There are many, many excellent movies and series on the channel.

Anyone have an opinion on MGM+?
I watch Godfather of Harlem on MGM+ starring Forest Whitaker and Vincent D'Onofrio. Great show. I only sign up for a couple of months though, then cancel.

Now its available on Hulu so I don't need MGM+ unless the upcoming season 4 is delayed on Hulu

Youtube Premium is also used a lot at our house - there is so much quality travel / food / anything you can think of content on there if you subscribe to the channels you like best its easy to wade through the slopI know it's pricey but it's one of the only / easiest ways to watch Youtube without ads on a big screen - bonus points because now any device in your house can sign in and use the plan
A couple questions on YouTube Premium.
Movies - I am on YouTube free. There are some actual movies there that are free with ads. Are those ads removed if I buy YouTube Premium?
Subscription - It is only me and my wife. Will I have to buy the YouTube Premium Family plan so she can watch under her account ad free?

I have youtube premium

I do not see any ads on anything on Youtube. checked a movie, Interstellar ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IICGZ7YOafs ) and I don't see ads
(edit: a lot of channels have paid content promotions where the ad is part of the program and you don't get around those)

I'm pretty sure you have to pay for the family plan if you have seperate accounts. But I haven't tested it.

I've signed up twice just for this show and watched nothing else.

"Anyone have an opinion on MGM+?"
I purchased MGM+ on the $0.99 deal last year to watch the 2nd season of From. I enjoyed From, although not as good as 1st season. Chapelwaite was also worth watching. I tried some other shows and could find anything I liked. Few movies as well If there is a series you like on MGM+, it could be worth the $0.99, but I wouldn't buy it unless there is something you are confident you will like.

Different use cases for different people.

I agree with you and other that many of these options are junk to me.

However, the deal includes services such as Paramount+ and Peacock that can be good for specific shows or live sports. The deal also has Apple TV+ for free for 3 months.

Examples like those last ones are potentially worth it to me. And I assume others.

Seriously, I never watched those channels when I had cable. Why would I pay money now to not watch them lol
I agree, it's just if you wanna spend more money $1 for 2months, 10x $1 = $10 for 2 month worth of 10 streaming serices

I agree these channels aren't great - but another issue is that I haven't been able to access subscriptions through Roku - subscribed to Hulu through Roku and was unable to access so I assumed the subscription hadn't gone through - got billed for it and then had to go through two stage cancellation - called Roku and then they connected me to Hulu - I did get a refund and Roku customer service was helpful, but I'm not subscribing to anything through Roku again. It never showed in the subscription area. Weird.

I have an extra empty Discover card laying around which should absorb one channel for 99 cents making it free.

Hidive through Roku is awful. So confusing to navigate, the search doesn't work well, you can't use an existing Hidive account, and there is no way to use the Hidive app as an alternative. Save yourself the headache and subscribe directly or through another source.

Beware of the HBOMax plan with ads. The volume leveling on content vs ads is atrocious. On movies like Dune and Godzilla, movie theatre like volume is set at -15db on my avr. Loud enough that all windows have to be closed because neighbors will call the police. When ads kick in, that volume is ear drum busting. It's worse when you have a very capable sub. IMO it's a health hazard to the elderly and those suspectable of heart attack.
That's the reason I only bought a one month ad free sub to watch the latest Godzilla, Dune, and some Shaymalan movies. I miss Redbox. It's perfect for those tentpole movies.

Also includes Hallmark+ My wife has me subscribe to it for a couple months during Christmas season so she can watch the movies. Was happy to see it on sale.
