Yeah well now I just moved to your awesome neighbood and the thrift stores didn't have this stuff either, because you already bought them resulting in OoS . Thanks for making me waste my time again with horrible advice. Get ready for another subpoena thanks to your scam of a consulting service.

I'm sorry Im just kidding. I didn't move actually to your wonderful neighborhood . I'm sure it's super classy though, nothing signifies a classy beautiful area more than " we have a lot of Goodwills here". Jealous as hell. I bet you are swimming in pork rinds
Shows how little you know about the thrifting business

Per goodwill's own site:
However, donors are not as flexible with their driving time. Donors are motivated by doing good, but also by convenience. A donation center that is closer to them will often become their location of choice. If that donation center is in an affluent community, then residents of that community are more likely to donate there. That's why Goodwill actually prefers to set up stores in higher-income areas while also serving shoppers of all levels of affluence throughout the region. Prices are kept as low as possible, while still ensuring they allow Goodwill to make enough money to pay salaries, cover rent, utilities, transportation, insurance, and all of the other fixed costs that are required to run the operation.

They have a Closing The Grand Hotel deal which makes it almost affordable to go there. It's literally the last day the hotel is open, they ditch the dress code and have a clean out the larders buffet that begs you to imitate Mr. Creosote. The missus and I went 5 and 10 years ago and were debating going this year, but decided against it.

Of course a screening of Somewhere In Time happens in the auditorium and they have their Somewhere In Time weekend the days before where people dress in period outfits. Jane Seymour was there the last time I went up, but was gone before I arrived.

God you are dumb. I just made that comment because since you were thowing in inaccurate snide assumptions about my area being a poor area to live in , I figured I'd be a similar ass and throw in one about yours too.
Yeah dude no kidding they are also in nice towns.I live in a nice town that has one. Just one btw, which don't guarantee that those movies will be in stock. It doesn't guarantee the one in the next town over will have them either. Or the next town. Your clueless thought process seems to be missing that.

Anyways, since you mentioned my area I am gonna ramble about it. The area I live in is fine and Im happy here. I live in one of the biggest metropolitan areas in the US with several millions of people, and about an hour away from a separate smaller city with a smaller metropolitan area of over a million people. I got shopping, good food, night life, college and universities, museums, parks, entertainment venues such as for major league sports games, comedy clubs, concerts etc hiking, lakes, beaches all within an hours drive in different directions. Plenty of opportunities for my line of work too. Oh yeah we got goodwills here but you still have to drive around hoping to find something you might like. Your assumption and advice is stupid for multiple reasons. Granted my area isn't perfect, but I'll take all that over driving around to possibly save about a buck per movie at a thrift store .That's just idiotic.

Thanks. Decided to use some Apple Cash to grab Streets of Fire, Leave No Trace and a 4k upgrade of Monty Python. Queen Slim was my only other option. Streets beat it out because I love 80s movies (born in 77).

I'm fully aware you wouldn't find all of these in a single trip to a thrift store. MOST of these movies are not worth the $3.33 especially in digital. Most should be relegated to a $1-$2 physical media bin.

Let it go. You aren't being funny or clever like you seem to think you are. You're just clogging the thread. Also learn to quote reply properly.

I truly don't care if you find I am funny, or like the way i quote. Talking about how its a bad deal because you found some of these movies in a thrift store once in your neighborhood is completely stupid. You can say that in every thread but it's still useless. Snottily telling somebody to move if they can't find these at a thrift shop is clogging the thread. You guys who also always gotta bring up physical media in a thread about digital deals already clog this place with your dumb comments non-stop. Sorry, not sorry.
