Just freeze the butter, and don't worry about expiration date.
This deal used to be 8.99 in previous 3-4 years. Too much price increase in too short of a time.
Their question was about how long the deal is lasting. I've never had butter go bad, especially not kerry gold, so I don't think that's necessary. Just buy ghee if that's what you want.

How many do I need to fill an 80 gallon bathtub?
You would need 320 packages of 4-count 8-ounce Kerrygold butter sticks to fill the 80-gallon bathtub.

It would make little sense for Kerrygold to update packaging for certain states and have different packaging for the other. Not only does that add significant complexity to their supply chain, but it would also open up the possibility for violating the law in those particular states if there were ever a mistake in shipping or packaging. Unless there was a SIGNIFICANT cost difference, it defies reason to think that there are two entirely separate lines of packaging materials.

Lidl also carries Irish butter in similar packaging, though the butter itself isn't as good as Kerrygold.
I agree, I was just stating the discussion that was going on in that link. I have to assume if they did a nationwide recall, they didn't just continue sending out the same recalled packaging for only some of their consumers.

You should stay on top of this, it's important.

It's a lot of butter but I think you can eat all you want as long as it's "grass fed" and PFAS free.

Aggressively indifferent, very cool, everyone's impressed. God knows responding to a discussion is embarrassing and lame.

These don't go on sale often, however last time they did I grabbed enough boxes to still have some now, but on the last few blocks, perfect time to restock!

This butter is amazing if you like to make fine dinning steaks. Pair this butter with rosemary and garlic, spoon it over your meat cut, it's amazing!

The Kirkland one is _fine_ but not as good. We tried them both in our household side by side and could tell the difference in a blind taste test. As well as the Kirkland butter being stiffer than the Kerrygold when both left out side by side on a butter holder in our kitchen.

Generally stiffer = higher fat content BTW. The only difference between the two is that Kerrygold has higher sodium levels (100mg vs 75mg), and the Kirkland product has Vit A (14%) vs. Kerrygold (0%)

Costco standard price for their Kirkland brand is $10/2 lb. I would consider the two basically the same product. As mentioned there is very little difference between the two from a nutritional POV.

And to all the "OMG PFAS" nonsense.... Ugh. Very little understanding on the subject. Reminds me of people that holler about "MSG" and "GMO" because some rando chiropractor on YT told them it's the devil.

Right, it needs to be unpasteurized. Raw butter, if you will.

It's not fully grass fed and has PFAS. Get the Costco grass fed one
how do you know the costco one doesnt? is the costco one 100% grass fed? I thought i remember it just saying grass fed which means they could feed them one time and call it that.
