I just called Verizon and got to their customer retention team saying I'd like to explore options on discounts since I'm also looking at going to T-Mobile.

They gave me a lifetime $25 discount + $10 discount per line for the next 12 months and I can call back after 12 months to extend basically ask for that discount again.

Now I'm a Verizon customer of 16 years and it is the week of thanksgiving aka black friday and cyber monday so they may pull extra strings.

I also think I am overpaying so maybe they gave me discounts to get to an average of what people are paying. I was paying $135 for 2 lines, now I'm at $90.

Take this as you wish but this is just my experience today the Monday before thanksgiving.

Same boat here. Not only did the $10 off per line end, buy they charged $9.xx per line on the last month. Did anyone of you get this prorated type charge?
I also switched over to the new Unlimited Welcome plan since it was about $9 less than the old discontinued plan now that the $10/line stopped and the $10 paperless/auto went down to $5 and also charging $3 for being in the old plan. So for 6 lines it's $27/line now. Oh and they're taking $20 off for 55+ for the account.
I'll try to call retention and see if they can do the $10 off/line for a year again, and $25 off lifetime.
What is 55+?

What's the reason to pay $45/line when you can pay $25 max on another Version -based MVNO?
The reason is you get 1 Gig Fios for $65 instead of $100 per month. Plus verizon has way better service than any other companies when youre in middle of the nowhere.

I tried the "create a transfer pin" option and the following day I got an email saying I qualified for a $10 off per month option. 😅

I would like to pick your collective brain. I have been with verizon for 20+ years and like the service. Before September, bill for 2 lines was $80 per month consistently. We took a trip overseas and changed plans for 10 days based on assurance that I could revert back to my old plan without any changes. Faster forward 2 months, my bill was $120 this month. I called and they said that because I changed plans, I no longer qualified for loyalty plan so the best they could do was $100 per month. This pisses me off because I specifically talk to rep before changing plans and was assured that this scenario wouldn't happen. What should I do, if anything?

For anyone having trouble with this, you actually don't need to even generate the transfer pin/token or do any of these steps. Simply going to a link for Verizon on mobile (or through the Verizon app) to the port out page will show you a pop-up immediately with a "Special Offer" bubble, which will then give you the option to redeem $10 off per line (you can claim these offers all on one phone, don't need to claim them separately on each phone). Dropped my bill by $30 in a few seconds (it'll show immediately in the next upcoming bill as well so you know it's activated).

You can also do it on desktop by going to a similar link. Either way, you'll immediately see a "Special Offers" bubble just by going to the port-out page (if you get a message in the special offers bubble that doesn't say get $10 off, just click the link again until it shows that offer then accept and redeem it).

I didn't realize there's a discount for that. I looked it up. apparently it's a specific unlimited plan that has a per line charge of $62.50 my current plan is $64.50 a month. my guess is, switching I would lose some of the features on my grandfather's plan, which I believe is unlimited hotspot maybe? IDK. I'm not willing to take the chance for $2.50 to find out

And they kept SNAP users on the lifeline discount called Verizon Forward. $30 off Internet but I don't think they are accepting new peeps, just those that were enrolled in the ACP before it died.

I pay $80/month for one line!
Speaking to your other issue, I've had that happen. I've never been able to have them successfully revert back to old plan, but was only able to get a monthly credit for a year. It was someone ago I can't remember how much it was
